According to the comments I received, the winner is Option #2.
I’ll pause billing on April 30 and resume it on June 1st—with a brand-new chapter, of course.

Thank you all so much for your understanding, support, and vacation wishes. I really appreciate it. It’s genuinely heartwarming to receive this kind of encouragement.

Now, just to ease some worries: I’m not disappearing after the break.

First of all, the entire story is fully outlined—an outline that took me two years to prepare. I’ve been writing it for a year now. There’s no way I’m letting three years of work vanish into the void without finishing what I started.

Your support also means I can cut back on my day job by about a third. My day is currently two-thirds work (ugh) and one-third writing (yay!). What I’m trying to say is—I love writing too much to walk away from it.

Not to mention I’ve got three more outlines ready to go: one spin-off and two completely new stories. I’m itching to dive into them, but not before we finish this one.

So, as the cover of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy wisely says in large, friendly letters: Don’t panic.

I’ll be posting chapters until April 30th, and then we’ll pick back up on June 1st.
