AI frame interpolator
I figured out how to use a "frame interpolator," basically some software that can fill in the gaps between frames of animation. As an example, here is a rough animation I made: https://imgur.com/hzc9eVO

Really cool to play with! I've been experimenting a lot with it trying to see what makes animations look best. I am hoping that it will be useful in the PilotRedSun animation...
PilotRedSun animation, new EZ coloring technique
I was incredibly relieved to learn of a new way to color the animation frames, with the one of Warlord's big mug only taking 8 minutes(!). It specifically makes use of the VCR's profound effect on colors. The difference is so intense that I wind up making changes on one monitor, while viewing the VCR's output on another. The actual non-VCR image looks AWFUL, but nobody has to know that. You'll be able to see the colored frames up above.
Making the 3D Jason Voorhees Saunders nightmare baby
I wanted to share how Jason Voorhees Saunders was created in my recent youtube video. I wish I could embed the images into this actual post...
1. Baby Josh pic is grabbed.
2. Using the clone stamp tool and smudge tool in Photoshop, I remove his glasses... otherwise they get baked into the 3d model's texture, which is really scary looking.
3. The photoshopped face is ran through an AI (Remini) to clean up the image and make it look like a human again. It's amazing how the AI can salvage just about any crude photoshop job.
4. Because I need a front facing view for the 3D modeler, I use Photoshop again to create a symmetrical face from the original three quarters pic of Josh. It goes through the AI again to create an utterly disturbing face.
5. Using some other software, it amazingly takes the front facing view of baby Josh and creates a fully textured 3D head. I mess with a bunch of dots and parameters like I'm in Oblivion's character creator.
6. The head gets sent to some other software to create the baby body, add hair, a hat, etc.
7. Finally, the body is sent to ANOTHER piece of software to apply the motion capture data.
Snake Bones
The podcast is in bad shape right now; I've spoken to different potential guests (randos I hadn't met before) and frankly I couldn't see it working out. Chauncey is still taking a break from being in my stuff (his choice, we are still very friendly), and the other friend I WISH would work with me can't do it. He is easily at Chauncey's level, which makes it that much harder for me to accept. On the plus side, I do know some great people in the new Discord that I may need to solicit. Speaking of which...
The new Discord has been amazing
