Reasons for re records- she signed with ScottBrochetta as he was starting his new record label. She signed for 13 years. She tried to buy her masters, but he will sell her one for every new album she made and he wanted her to sign to a new 10 year deal. I think she knew he would sell the company and she had come to terms with never owning her own work. Scott Brochetta was like family to her. However, he did sell after she signed with new label. He sold it to someone who he knew Taylor had no respect for and who had caused her a lot of pain and grief- Scooter Braun. There was a clause that she could re-record after 5 years, so that’s what she is doing She only has 2 left- Reputation and Taylor Swift Debut to re release…..her reputation and her name. She then will own her first 6 albums - Taylor’s Version. So she is able to sing her songs and work with anyone wanting to use her songs for movies and such. I suggest you watch My Tears Ricochet- Long Pond Version . Most of us- her fans feel it is to Scott Brochetta and how bad he tried to destroy her in the media when she took to social media explaining what was going on! It’s a track 5 and those are Taylor’s most vulnerable or personal songs!
