Update: on august and the forseeable future

So for the third time in a row, the situation with me moving back with family isn't as bad as I thought it would be- we can simply appropriate a portion of the dining room for desk space which should give me the privacy needed to work on renders. Most of the time. Due to the job climate and a lack of confidence that I'd even have the technical skills necessary to apply for a few dream jobs for now, I am probably going to be stuck there for a lot longer than I'd like. In the meantime, however, let's establish a basic plan:

-Whilst I'm still where I am currently, I am going to start working more rapidly on simpler renders to be able to at least have content automatically pushed out until september. How simpler they'll be will vary, but I am probably going to cut back a little on the backgrounds to save time on scenebuilding and lighting.

-Past that point, the times I will be working on renders is likely going to be diminished. I'm aiming to at least have 2 renders a month done, as this should also give me breathing time to focus on my personal projects and portfolios.

-You may also find some of these renders are more SFW just by the nature of having small children running around the house.

-I am likely expected to do my part in billpaying. I still have a fair amount of cash left to at least cover two months, but commissions may reopen again before it runs out.

Unfortunately I have no ETA on how long this will last. Corona has done a lot of damage to the job market so I couldn't even get a crummy desk job here, so I think the best thing I can do for now is focus on making a great first impression at the places I would want to work at whilst those places are open.

And please don't feel like you need to increase your patronage, because that'll affect very little in this situation. I've endured far worse autumns than this one thanks to the people who were chipping in only a few bucks a month, so this is just annoying and inconvenient than anything else.

edit: all scheduled renders have been pushed back a few weeks to ensure I have some time to assess my current situation properly.
