Important news
Added 2022-01-31 14:26:56 +0000 UTCHello everyone! Unfortunately, I have bad news. My working hard drive broke yesterday. I don't know why, it just turned off and now I can't connect it. Fortunately, most of my characters are safe. I've backed up to a different hard drive every month, but the last time I backed up was in December. But I'm afraid that I might lose all the new projects I've been working on all this time. I am very upset about this.
When connected, I hear the standard system sound and see a message that the device is connected, but Windows does not see the hard drive. It shows up in Disk Management as an unallocated area and needs to be initialized. But when I click to initialize the disk, I get a message that there was an error in the data (CRC).
I understand that the hard drive is most likely damaged and not fit for further use, but I'm only interested in data recovery. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please let me know how I can recover the data. I'll be very grateful to you.
Thank you so much for your support! I am very grateful to you.
Regards
Azzgard

I still have a Google Drive subscription as I previously used Google Drive to upload my content. Now I plan to also use Google Drive for additional project backups.

I'm glad to hear that you managed to restore your photos. I also used a Seagate 1T hard drive. Maybe these are not very reliable discs as it turned out? Now I will try to get a more reliable hard drive for data storage and work.

2022-01-31 20:11:08 +0000 UTCahhh, I'm a photo editor and I really know your pain, trust me. it seems like that your HDD has the file system damaged. don't try to re-allocate anything or such. Ask some folk around there might be some people in the place you live, maybe there are some local forums/catalogs where people repair their HDD's. The last drive I thought I've lost completely was a 1Tb Seagate drive with A LOT of images and private photos, but I was able to repair it for $250. I wish you a good luck, you do amazing things!
