I was once part of a clique that wanted more from the guild great guys met IRL a few times but we wanted more than what we were getting broke off started our own thing and those that broke off could NOT function as officers, so slowly we all crawled back to OG guild and are friends that catch up again often....this story hits home.

2024-07-22 03:22:15 +0000 UTCHey, I'm a member of this Guild (casual now though) and was very excited to hear you guys talking about it. Been a member since Vault, and this situation actually happened initially in Aberrus. And Officerman (Before he was Officerman) was actually supposed to be removed with his Clique because of it. It wasn't a Private Discord though, it was in a Twitch stream Chat (Of Tankerman+Shit Hunter) with multiple members of the raid viewing it. But at the time the GM was a part of the Clique, and got guilted by them into staying so they could "do better". Tankerman and Shit Hunter were part of the Clique back then as well, and after Shit Hunter constantly wiped people on Echo and Sark she was sat, and so Tankerman had a hissy fit about leaving so now the Guild "loses their best tank" which they didnt. After that, the group of about 6 of them would constantly trash talk and say people should be kicked while they themselves skipped raids in a Twitch Chat channel, and a handful of raid members were watching it at the time. So there was talk about removing them, but GM ended up deciding not to, even when the other officers at the time said it was going to happen again. Seeing it unfold again a few months later was very funny from my PoV, and it eventually got dragged into the Guild Discord where another member just called them out, and then the clique was removed lol. Very funny hearing about it here as well, and good to see that they still just aren't very smart when they're being toxic lol.
