What I Did Between Scripts
AI Art is a plague, one with a description that is, in itself, an oxymoron. Every instance of its greasy, lifeless and yet somehow overexaggerated sameness makes me want to strangle out whatever idiot brought it into being, then chokeslam their lifeless carcass in front of their supporters as warning, that maybe a sex doll-likeness of Supergirl being lit by three different suns, wearing Wonder Woman's gauntlets and flying over what appears to be Tokyo, not Metropolis, isn't actually the best possible rendering of that character, and they should maybe, y'know, learn something about anything that isn't from a youtube talking head.
Saying that as a very minor youtube talking head myself.
Point is, AI Art pissed me off enough that it made me snap, and better myself by teaching myself technical drawing. This is part of what I did last week (there is so much more, if folks are interested) and it's going to be some part of an upcoming Section 99 game project I want to start developing in earnest at some point. I'm not going to be really open to details as to what it might entail, as I don't want to render myself a Micronation of Peter Molyneux, writing gameplay cheques my ass can't cash. What I can do, however, is show you now what a lot of stuff in the Terran Timeline, Section 99's universe, looks like. Surprise: it's Space World War 2-Vietnam-In-The-80s, and I'm pretty sure I telegraphed that result, but whatever, I'm pleased with it.
PS: If you're wondering what's up with the design of the ration's packaging? Look up what a US K-Ration like in World War 2, they're actually pretty neat looking.
