Writing magic is particularly difficult work. First, you gotta make something interesting, that is shooting to be more than just "a fireball." Then when you've achieved "not a fireball, but more interesting," you gotta try to figure out how to make it work in rules. Rules that you really don't want to let spin out of control, because who wants to stop a game dead to work out the logic of your magic system.
But, I am back on the Magic Bicycle. Here is my proof: Behold, the School of Inevitability, coming soon to The River and the Road.
