Mental Illness and Creativity

If there's anything that hacky videogames have tried to convince us of, it's that mental illness makes you a dangerous, possibly superhuman villain. Not at all like the reality of the thing, where it's an annoyance of frustrating self-paradoxes. Where you can be sidelined from being creative and doing things you like because your mind has decided that due to reasons not one hundred percent clear, it now only has a few safe islands from intrusive thoughts. So instead of feeling helpful and fulfilled, you wind up feeling safer, but also very lazy.

I've been on those islands this week, unfortunately. I'd rather had been here entertaining and informing you, believe me. I will fix this soon. Give me a day more, and I'll see you again tomorrow. I'm almost back to whatever my normal is at this point, I swear.
