Hi, my dear patrons!

Hungry for some news on Binkov's channel and other Binkov's interests?
Here's the rundown:

This Friday we hope to release J-20 vs F-35. Which may have a more catchy title, though. As YouTube algorithm doesn't really appreciate  such simple titles. You might've noticed our thumbnails have gotten a bit more clickbait-y as well. It's unavoidable, sadly, for as long as  YT prefers these kinds of "book covers". But rest assured, the actual content of the book is still the same. So feel free to judge it.

In researching J20 vs F35 we've covered some topics that we couldn't have included in this video, as we didn't have time to animate such a long video. A similar thing happened with our F-22 vs Eurofighter video, where we had some researched text that we did not include.

What does that mean? The likelihood of a F-22 vs J-20 video appearing in the not so distant future is quite high, we'd say. :)

Two weeks after that we're planning to release US invading Iran. A winner of our Patreon poll, by the way. This time we're doing something slightly different as we're not doing a pure game-y one country vs one country set up. Instead, we're assuming a more
realistic war with US managing to round up some of the Gulf countries into an alliance against Iran.

The text is also quite, quite long, so we will probably be splitting it in two videos. Not a two part video, mind you. The invasion one is going to come first. And then the other video, more concerned with what sort of damage could Iran do to US forces in the area and the strait of Hormuz might come a month or two (or three) later.

Then sometime mid July or perhaps second half of July we'll do sort of a spiritual successor to our last summer's China v USA trade war video. But this time it'll be less about the new developments in the trade war and more about the overall geopolitics, the possible new cold war and an arms race.

Oh, and some non-video related updates. Our Binkov plushie still doesn't have a sale start date. It's still in production. Hopefully in our next newsletter we'll have a concrete date to share with you.

But perhaps the biggest news of all is that sometime in July/August we will be a full 3 member production team. Since start of 2018 Binkov had two people on payroll full time. With the third member having a day job, meaning he could work on Binkov only part time. This will finally change. So, what does that mean for the YT channel?

We'll start off carefully. For the time being we'll stick to one video every two weeks, but with 3 of us, we'll be making more videos than that. Once we're satisfied with the number of "ready" videos, we'll switch to a more frequent release schedule. That period will also
allow us to get accustomed to the new workflow and get the third member up to speed.

The hopefully positive side effects of it all should be more flexibility on our part to do quick, news videos. We tried that before but stopped doing it as it screwed up our release schedule too much. But with ready videos, we'll have enough hands to quickly re-task them
to whatever topic pops up as being really interesting.

Plus, with 3 of us, we'll have more time to indulge in our dream project of making a Binkov strategy game. We've hinted at that before, but at the time we didn't know how demanding a video game production would be, nor how costly. Which is why the video game might have to wait. And which is why we're making contacts with some board game creators and will probably go into that direction. But more news about that in coming months…
