Checking in!

Hey guys,

Time for another update! What have I been up to lately? Well, firstly, I hope July is serving you all well - it does seem as though daily life is slowly returning to normal, but please remain cautious and alert! The UK has drastically loosened the lockdown and pubs and bars are back open... it’s looking as though any second wave of COVID-19 will be pretty brutal judging by the photos of people out and about at the weekend.

Last week marked the first time I was able to see my family in person for over five months - I love living in Birmingham, and this isn’t the first time I’ve lived away from my hometown, but the current crisis has meant that this was the longest I’d gone in my entire LIFE without seeing my parents. My sincere respect to anybody who goes backpacking or lives at university because it’s been extremely hard not being able to see my family. I’m back home with Davey now and Leia has forgiven me for daring to be away for two days!

Today I’ve been laying down some scratch vocals for a fourth song I’ve written recently - what are all of these songs for? All will be revealed. I was able to visit the studio with Tom Gittins to finish off Ridicule last week (it’s sounding amazing, and what a great catharsis it has been for me to get a great song out of something painful!) and I’m hoping to be back again for the next song shortly!

Yesterday I finished translating the lyrics for Agenda into Simlish (the language spoken in The Sims franchise) and today I’ll be writing a script for the video that will accompany my effort - I’ll be posting the video on here once it is finished so you can all enjoy early access! Should be ready in around a week, hopefully. I’ve also been coming up with tons of video ideas that are based around playing The Sims 4 - I’ve realised that there’s no better time than now to just focus on making whatever the hell I want, and I’ve been playing a ton of games in lockdown, so we could be seeing a return of BirdyBoots... just on my main channel. (I have banned myself from making any more channels. It was necessary.) I might also look into streaming on Twitch if the videos go down well.
