I was wondering about GITMO. Why is it still there? When Castro and his boys took power in 1959, I figured it would've been overran already. But after all those years since then, it's still in American hands. Any thoughts on that?

2023-06-29 20:29:50 +0000 UTCI grew up with Cuba being a garrison island for Soviet Russia. They actually installed deliverable nukes, remember the Cuban Missile crisis. There is also what the US Navy Calls GITMO lurking on the Southeast coast.
