2023-01-24 02:04:14 +0000 UTCI cannot help but think of how both Japan and Germany were given 77 years of not having to spend a significant percentage of their federal budgets on defense. This allowed both to invest in their reconstruction and become major economic players in a world that neither could have foreseen. The things our fathers (or further back) did to change the world following WWII were so far-sighted that we act as though things had always been this way.
