I've tuned out completely from the Olympics and Olympic sponsors (including NBC). Americans finance the IOC with our purchases and viewing habits. It's up to Americans to censure them. We don't need our government to do it. Oh, and I feel the same way about FIFA after their corrupt selection of Qatar. All of these transnational sporting bodies need a wakeup call from the places where their money comes from. And we don't need governments to to it. Our own free choices will be quite effective if we go it together. And isn't that the most democratic solution of all?
