It all looks very deliberate to me: create hysteria about a new pandemic then show the world how the CCP's brutal authiritarian measures were superior to those of freer, democratic societies in controlling it whilst the world's media is focused on China. People may have believed this CCP narrative in 2020, or at least given it the benefit of the doubt; not so sure the will now. Bringing down the world economy in the process would no doubt be an added bonus: communists have been destroying economies in the hope that some Communist utopia will spring up from the ruins for well over a century and, of course it never does.
