my guess is that they're doing the MMT thang. they can print as much money as they want, even more than the US as a percent of GDP because they don't have to report the figures for public accountability purposes. MMT is the last refuge economic theory of the collapsing society. just speaking from intuition, i'd bet you about 2% of China's reported year on year economic growth is due to printing (aka counterfeiting) their own currency.
