It Just Works .DEMO1

Behold, the very first, very rough demo of IJW.
Since I'm more a rock/pop person myself, I had no idea on how to write jazz or swing songs. :D So I wrote this rough midi for Masel to arrange it into a big band kind of song, and he did it perfectly.
As you can see here, some of my ideas were dropped in the process. I imagined this song relying more on guitars, including overdrive in the chorus. I also initially was looking for a deep baritone guy to sing it, but the moment we got Kyle's demo recording we decided to go with him, cause he's just such a perfect Todd :D
The choir part was supposed to seemlessly continue the swing vibes and then just as seemlessly move on to the "announcement" part. But seems like it didn't just work in the arrangement, so Masel decided to cut the song before the choir and make the thing more Skyrim-ish, then just as suddenly coming back to swing. I'm always amazed how this guy tweaks things in such smart ways, making stuff sound much better!
Funny thing is, some parts of the song have been stuck in my head for months and sometimes for some reason I recall them as they sounded in this demo x3
