Remember when DES-56 or RSA-128 were considered sufficiently future proof to protect billions of dollars and decades of future oriented Top Secret information? Oh yeah, those were the same days when Gary Mckinnon breached NASA's internal network and began downloading what was probably a classified picture of a spy satellite by connecting to a single unsecured terminal. And people wonder how the Chinese were so easily able to mimic the technology of the F-22 and F-35 yet lack the technical capabilities to actually manufacture the parts.
