2021-03-05 05:49:04 +0000 UTCThe CIA and NSA both lost their crown jewel tech tools between 2015 and 2018. the tools became released to open source parties. i don't recall details at this point other than to say the most likely source of the leaks was from govt contractors. in the more notorious case, one was a contractor who took his work home and had Kaspersky Anti-Virus flag and upload critical files to Russian servers. I'm skeptical that they'd be any more modern source revelations at this juncture. There's simply too much to lose by deploying the tools on a detectable scale prior to attempting a high potential reward operation.
