i don't keep up well with international relations anymore but a few years back when i was heavily into the subject of China most of the top China analysts i could find were pessimistic or "cautiously optimistic" that it was even possible to avoid war with china. when it comes to superpowers, there can be only one (because it only takes one colossal mistake or one mad man behind the reigns of power to threaten the world all the other potential powers must remain on edge at all times). Thankfully, the nuclear arsenal of the US, Russia, and China are so antiquated that probably only about half of them wouldn't blow up in the silo and contaminate the local community with radioactive dust and carcinogenic rocket fuels.
