More “Wartime Measures” in China to Fight Coronavirus

China once again declares wartime measures to fight the coronavirus. China Australia relations take a turn for the worse. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo sanctions a Chinese official involved in the persecution of Falun Gong, or Falun Dafa, the qigong practice the Chinese Communist Party has been persecuting since former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin attacked the practice in 1999. Lawmakers call out China for forced organ harvesting and organ trafficking from Falun Gong practitioners and Uyghur Muslims. The International Criminal Court refuses to investigate China. And Apple Daily's Jimmy Lai is seen in chains under Hong Kong's draconian national security law. That and more on this week's China news headlines.

Phase 1 - Contain the 'CCP Wuhan Virus'. Phase 2 - A vaccine that works, AND get the tin-foil hat wearing sceptics to take it. We need 75% to 90% vaccination rates. Phase 3 - MAKE CHINA PAY ! That includes outing greedy businessman and gutless politicians, who support the CCP. A totally open internet, inside China, might be the start / answer. Shine a light on the CCP's hypocrisy. How do we target just the CCP Nationalist Trolls, and not hurt too many ordinary Chinese ? Dare I say, 'One has to break a few eggs, to make an omelette'. The one thing I can't understand is China's reaction to their 'CCP Wuhan Virus'. It has been denial, followed by Bullying and Thuggery of other nations. No attempt to help the world to get thru this pandemic.

I was a little distraught to hear you once again in the course of your appearance on Timcast tonight highlight Brexit as playing into China's hand by hindering the EU's leverage against China. It seems clear to me that while they may not admit it even to themselves, the leaders of the EU look to China more as a model (and certainly a source of opportunity), than as a threat. You yourselves have made a video about "Germany's China Problem," and how compromised the country is with relation to China. Given the UK's banning of Huawei for its 5G networks, whereas Germany has just done the opposite and France's more tepid stance has now been followed by the announcement it will welcome the company's first network equipment factory outside China (not to mention Italy getting onto the Belt and Road bandwagon), are you not tempted to question your stance on this matter? It is my opinion that any Western nation reaffirming its belief in democracy and self-governance can only prove to be a thorn in China's side (as long as it is followed through with).
