We met so many incredible, passionate people who are standing up to tyranny around the world. And OFF made a special point of singling out China as the world’s most aggressive authoritarian regime. While we were there, we interviewed many people, which you’ll be seeing come out over the next couple of weeks. We’ve already released one with Denise Ho, a very famous Cantopop singer who risked her career by supporting the students in the 2014 Umbrella Movement. Coming out next week on the China Unscripted Podcast will be a very interesting interview with Korean expert Robert Kelly. But you probably know him better as BBC Dad. If you don’t know what BBC Dad is, look it up. And you’re welcome in advance. It will also be the first podcast we’ve ever filmed...so you can check it out on our YouTube channel next Tuesday.
If you follow China Uncensored on Instagram, you may have also heard we had some plane trouble on the way back. After four hours sitting on the tarmac, our flight got canceled. By the time we got back to the hotel, we only had time for about an hour of sleep before heading back to the airport to catch our new flight, which involved a 7-hour layover in Paris. There are definitely worse places to have a 7-hour layover than Paris. Basically what I’m saying is, be sure to follow China Uncensored on Instagram.
We have some major plans we’re working on right now for our other show, America Uncovered (which I highly recommend if you haven’t seen it yet). So with any luck you’ll be seeing more of that each week. But don’t worry, we’ll still be cranking out the China Uncensored. The CCP is giving us too many stories to slow down.
Also, just a reminder, 30 years ago, on Tiananmen Square, nothing happened. Thank you.
Love to all,
Chris
