Greetings, my brave 50-Cent Army! What a month it’s been! Matt, Shelley, and I had an incredible time traveling to Taiwan for the Oslo Freedom Forum. In about a week and a half, we filmed 10 episodes! That’s what I call being extremely productive. And that was in spite of the fact that we stumbled across an all-you-can-eat hot pot restaurant. If you’re not already following China Uncensored on Instagram, you can see some of the photos and memories from our trip. Those episodes will be coming out gradually over the coming weeks. My personal favorite is the one about Kinmen. You’ll soon know what that is…

In other news, thanks to your support we’re finally getting together a new graphics package for the show. I hope you’re enjoying the new background. You may have also noticed on our recent episode about the similarities between the persecution of the Uighurs and Falun Gong that we are using a new list graphic. It’s been slow going, but we’re never going to stop trying to improve the show!

We also had a special crash course with an expert on working YouTube algorithms so hopefully some of the things we learned will help us get around some of the roadblocks YouTube and Google have thrown up in our path, so we can reach more people and maybe even get some of our ad revenue back. Fingers crossed, but it sure seems like Google is doubling down on the China market.
