Rebuilding into sane megacities would be brilliant. It nicely gets around the global warming issues by allowing parts to be rebuilt above the coming tides. It allows the possibility of going to low petrochemical architecture and embracing the zero marginal cost future we could enjoy. ... yah, that's probably not what's going to end up happening.
