Patreon Monthly Message February 2017
Added 2018-02-01 21:12:12 +0000 UTCGreetings my 50-cent army!
Big news: We’re going to Australia and New Zealand in March! We’re going to do some on-the-ground coverage of the Chinese Communist Party’s infiltration in those two countries. Plus, in New Zealand, we’ll make a quick stop to visit my friends in Middle Earth.
We’re still planning some of the details for that trip, but this is going to be a really big growth opportunity for the show. And we’re able to do it thanks to your support!
More great news! (There’s a lot of it this month.) We’ve got new writers for the show! Two of them, actually—and they’ve both been doing amazing work. If you’ve been laughing extra hard, now you know why. Unless your building has a laughing gas leak. Then call your utility company.
Next week, we have a potential interview lined up with Benedict Rogers in Washington DC. You may remember that name. He’s the British activist who was blocked from entering Hong Kong late last year. He’s a friend of the show and since he’s coming to the US, we thought we’d interview him about his work with his new group Hong Kong Watch.
Currently we’re working on a big dam episode about the Chinese regime’s infiltration of Southeast Asian countries. They’ve been damming up the Mekong River, a major source of water and food for 60 million people along its shores in Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam. But the river starts in Tibet, so...people downstream be dammed.
And finally, we’ve begun regular production of our new show, America Uncovered. We’ve been asked, oh...about a million times to do a show about America, so we’ve finally done it. Currently we make one episode each week or two. You can see it here. Please subscribe!
So you know, we do America Uncovered separately from of our time and budget on China Uncensored. None of your Patreon funds go to that show. It’s a separate endeavor which has its own Patreon page and accounting.
That’s it for this month’s message! Thanks for all your support and all you do to help us keep China, uncensored.
