#345 - 7 Red Flags Your Guitar Playing Isn't Advancing

My friends, I just came home from Europe's biggest guitar event and felt like I have an important and urgent video to film. Instead of throwing the next exercises at you, I want to address some important fears and frustrations you talked to me about at the event!

1.) I can't build any more speed, I'm stuck at a certain level. I'm addressing this in the video, but remember that I made a full workout/exercise package all about this for you last week: https://www.patreon.com/posts/344-from-90-to-9-112361282

2.) I can't see the notes on the fretboard and always play the same things. I'm showing you some of my best tips and shortcuts in this video, but remember that you have access to a full course all about that: https://www.patreon.com/posts/169-fretboard-51121969

3.) I'm unsure about my picking technique, nobody ever showed me how to do it. Aside from the tips of this video, I recommend checking out this course all of you have access to: https://www.patreon.com/posts/204-how-to-build-59575511

4.) I never had a teacher and really need some personal input. If you want my help, remember that there's a Personal Coaching tier on Patreon and I help out students as much as I can on a daily basis in the secret VIP Facebook group.

5.) I don't know and theory and have no idea where to start. Remember that you have access to multiple theory courses here on Patreon, I'd recommend starting with this one: https://www.patreon.com/posts/214-5-steps-to-62989994

I sincerely hope I could help with all of these questions and big frustrations - it was inspiring to talk to so many of you at the Guitar Summit and I can't wait to record the next exercises for you - new workouts next week!! Until then take care and please remember that frustration is a part of the journey. It makes the great moments even greater :)

Aside from Bernth's videos now, I REALLY wish I took guitar lessons seriously 12 years ago. I'm about 6 months in from a 10 year hiatus myself. So much fun and I just want to learn everything

I'm really glad you mentioned lessons Bernth, as your channel rekindled my love and enjoyment of the instrument a few years ago during the pandemic and then when things normalized, I started taking lessons again after a 20+ year hiatus. I'm 2 years into lessons and have absolutely no intention of stopping. ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿป
