When you practice this, make sure to really focus on your fingers - how are they coming into contact with the fretboard? Are your movements minimized? I'm late to this one but very excited as finger control (like that blasted pinky) is something I really need to work on. Lots of unwanted string noise, overlapping notes, etc

Hey Bernth, can we get some more exercises to train our pinky? Exercise 1 is great but I feel like I need to have a few more exercises like this one to really train my pinky.

WIth excercise #1 you can anchor your pinkie finger on the high e string to build your muscle memory with the pinkie down until you can get that little pinkie to cooperate. The flying pinkie is the real deal. Good luck.

The pinky finger was a pain to tame and most people don’t ever acknowledge that it slows you down while also causing unwanted string noise like you mentioned.
