Is China Still Selling Oil to North Korea?

This is the second episode this year hosted by me (Matt). Chris gets back from vacation at the end of next week. In the meantime, Shelley will be hosting the next two episodes—good news for all of you who like her better ;)

If you're neighbored by a country which is in danger to crumble internally then I can understand very well how you're worried of streams of refugees and try to avoid this by playing against the rules. After all, when this should happen then nobody besides the direct neighbors sees any issue.

As for the episode, the strategy is at least showing some short-term positive effects. If the line can be kept relatively strong and you just consider the current oil smuggling as a rationing of oil imports meant as a warning then we'll see. After all, if China is at least partially cutting off North Korea then North Korea has to know that they really are pressing on the patients of other countries right now. Up until now, sanctions haven't had much effect on North Korea because they don't care about what most countries could theoretically do with them as a result of most of them not doing anything. With China, this wasn't the case and with China in on the sanctions, it might finally send a message that North Korea treats seriously. Also, as someone that truly supports Donald Trump, I'm actually ok with you making jokes at his expense, as a media station. After all, you guys are actually trying to do a return to normalcy for journalism and journalistic work. Coming from you, those jokes don't just seem like a soft way to belittle the president for partisan reasons like it does coming from the multi-million dollar networks. Congrats, on that by the way. All you had to do was not have your heads so far up your asses and you come on top over the media networks.
