How’s everyone doing in this brave new era of Xi Jinping Thought? You’d better not be thinking anything other than Xi Jinping Thought, or there’s going to be trouble! Don’t worry, it mostly involves pumpkin spice right now. It is autumn, after all, and the 82 Starbucks locations in Beijing are serving it up.

It’s already been an exciting month! China has foiled a North Korean assassination plot. Australian universities are doing research that directly benefits China’s military. And of course, President Donald Trump’s makes his first presidential visit to China this week! Somehow I don’t think he and Xi Jinping will be feeding the fishes like President Trump did with Japan’s Shinzo Abe. I’m sure there will be at least enough fodder for one episode of China Uncensored. I can’t wait to see Xi Jinping brag about how he served Donald Trump the most beautiful piece of Peking Duck that you’ve ever seen.

In other news, I’ve been blown away by the positive feedback for America Uncensored. We’ve only been able to make two episodes but more will come! But on that note, I’ve decided I’d like to change the name to America Uncovered. I feel uncensored is the perfect term to use for China, but you can’t say the United States has anywhere near the kind of censorship happening in China. So Uncovered I think is a better fit, that still keeps with the branding of China Uncensored. But please, let me know what you think!

And once again, thank you to all members of my 50-cent army! YouTube ad revenue is not coming back—and YouTube is barely promoting our videos anymore—so your support is what keeps the show going. Stay tuned for further updates! Till then, don’t think any inharmonious thoughts!
