#309 - BEST 10 MIN GUITAR WARM-UP - finger exercises, legato, stretching & more

My friends, today I have a killer daily finger warm-up routine for you! This will help you with getting your fingers in shape for shredding and it's also great for correcting finger technique issues (like lots of movement, unwanted noise, and more).

Here are your practice files (tabs, guitar pro file, backing tracks, play-along video): https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/11yWGZsfdURA2j2seOvv4ZRlNUyGDFQI5?usp=sharing

The goal is completing all 3 workout stages and not skipping the slow tempo - this will help you with your playing in all tempo zones! From playing slow and tight, all the way to lightning-fast finger acrobatics.

As always, I also made a Dropbox folder in case Google Drive doesn't work for you: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/umh5k21a6zll6yf361d8q/h?rlkey=eha32pzk8235sf4al66x266qn&dl=0

Yeah I've been doing that at the start of my practice routine. Going to keep that up for a few months and see what happens.

my pinker loves to do jumping jacks unfortunately as well. the spider exercise has really helped to train it to stay close to the fretboard

Hi Bernth great workout, wich sound do you use? Is it with a Kemper?

I have recently begun trying to find exercises to keep my fingers closer to the fretboard and to prevent my fingers from flying all over. The middle finger and pinky are the main problem. The spider exercise seems like a good starting point. However, i tried this workout today and I find it very difficult to stretch and keep my fingers close to the fretboard. I am having a very difficult time just stretching and keeping my index finger above the 5th fret and my pinky above the 9th fret. I'm concentrating so hard on just trying to stretch that all my fingers are all over the place. Is this exercise a bit advanced for the beginning stage of trying to fix this problem? Or should i maybe just focus on going slow instead of the recommended 40 bpm for the first exercise?

Thanks Bernth! These are great! I’ll add them to all the rest
