#302 - BEST 60 MIN GUITAR WORKOUT - alternate picking, sweep picking, legato & more!

My friends, since I started my journey on Patreon, you have been asking me for THIS - a full guitar practice routine that you can follow every single day. So far, I have refused the request because all of our goals are different and it's close to impossible to come up with one perfect routine to satisfy everyone :)

But with very, very careful consideration, I took a lot of time to make your biggest wish a reality and made this insane 60-minute routine that features the most important exercises we have ever discussed here. By following this one, you will truly take your playing to the next level :)

Here are your practice files - please note: the download size would have been gigantic if I included every instructional video and all the separate files for the exercises, so I conveniently added links for you that lead you to each episode (aside from the play-along video and backing track downloads): https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1OjVugRnPGzzY6rUPE4FNP5DjvWnPxX7b?usp=sharing

And as always, here's a Dropbox link in case Google Drive doesn't work for you: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/nu3k0jaloxozs6ifcvxcl/h?rlkey=je40vsfieabxyjmu71gkmrj9l&dl=0

Enjoy, hope this is what you were looking for all this time!! :)

EDIT: One of our amazing students, New Koba, took time to compile all individual workouts, check it out:

Hey all, i tossed together a GP file of all of the exercises in the video to make a more unified routine. Feel free to snag it from these drive links and if you have any edits please make it better and share it back out. The one with a drum track was super lazy and just pillaged a track from one of Bernth's videos in the set and copied to cover all bars.

WHERE ARE THE PDFs for the exercises?

Guy Garcia

Thank you for collating all those pdf's. I'm looking forward to working through this practice routine.

paulgbinnie

or the pdf?

Eric Rosenblum

can you please post the guitar pro file for this thanks

Eric Rosenblum

Sweet thanks.

Daniel Ullrich

I've made one https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1wrmEwU9yRbWqDoo42kZslOLHGQn_yf1P

Ghislain Groneau

I'm tryng to unify all tabs in a whole pdf too, but it's kinda hard. Did you succeed? Would be cool if you can share the pdf, thank you!

marco

I'm actively getting all the tabs and creating a book, then plan on building up to the hour but ensuring to not skip ahead until I get exercises comfortably.

Alex Licano

I guess all of these have been before in other posts, I found I know about half of these as I have or had them in my routine at some pont, in a couple of weeks I learned up to the Brainwaves riff, I should be getting to the end these days. It is perfect for those days when I only have one hour or less for my morning routine. Also it is not so demanding on the fingers as the regular increasing speed ones, as these here do not get to the top speed. Great compilation!

I think everybody will find a different route here... Personally, I try to add one more exercise per day, and cumulate them that way. Sometimes, every two three days if they're more challenging... I would imagine it would take a few weeks to get it into a full thing... But this is purely personal...

MJP

Not on Bernth his page. But there are so many exercises on YouTube to master it.

Tijntje O Five

Hi everyone! I was just wondering how long does it take to memorize all the exercises sheets and how to do it. Or maybe should I just jump into the full workout by also doing mistakes in and here while following the play-along video? At the moment I am trying to memorize every exercise by taking it alone but I'm pretty sure this will take some time before starting the full workout in 60 minutes... Thanks!!

Francesco

see my post just above with links. i made one to correspond to the link doc bernth provided. if anyone feels like updating it to make it more readable or just a better file have at it .

New Koba

Killer. Thanks for doing this. I started on this same file earlier this week and was going to get back to it today. Glad I checked the comments here first!

Robert Duncan

Is there any course on bending and vibrato ?

Claudio Glover

I don't see the Guitar Pro download in the files

I've been playing for like 18 years and this workout is a welcome addition to my routine. I felt that I've plateaued when it comes to certain techniques and this is a great way to improve my skills and knock some rust off. Kick ass!

Brady MacCoy

wow this is amazing. Thanks Bernth! Goal for 2024 is to play the entire workout up to speed- luckily, I've been practicing some of these exercises for a few months ;)

Kyle Hayes

Thanks for all your hard work Bernth. I really appreciate this video. I look forward to taking on a new challenge.

Chris

If only someone could glue the Guitar Pro files together so we’d have one file for the whole workout.

Sebastian Kitten

Hey Bernth, is this video supposed to have identical parts as picking exercises? The BPM donot change in any consecutive part.

Dante21

Thanks! Saw that doc, but didn't see the links somehow.. even upgraded my membership which is not necessary at the moment, but I will stay upgraded for now :) Great stuff!

Aleksandr Bissekerskij

Hey there, just click the link in the post, it has a document file that leads you to all the files/lessons! Have an awesome day

Bernd Brodträger

guys, where can I find 1 hour course for this routine Bernth mentions in this video? Can't find it anywhere.. I'd like to get tabs and backing tracks for this awesome routine!

Aleksandr Bissekerskij

Realy interesting one I'll challenge it! 👊🤘🏻 thank's

Gabriel Feno

Awesome! Thanks

Monica Ward

I change my practice routine every two weeks to work on problems and fix them. This is a great way to make everything you already learned me putting together so I can practice so effective as possible. Great work Bernth ! 30 years ago I learned shredding from books. A waste of time. This is so much better.

Tijntje O Five

Great job Bernth thank you very much :)

Jarda Barta

This is exactly what I need. I can tweak the routine to my "special needs" if I identify them, but this gives me a solid base to start from AND to fall back to! So thanks a lot from all of us who would be overwhelmed in putting together a routine by ourselves!

Edwin van Slingerlandt

Thanks Bernth !!!

John Bowlin

Nice! Thanks Maestro

Michael Schurtz

This is awesome! Thank you so much for your dedication? I've looked around and haven't seen, but do you have an exercise or instructional on Pinch Harmonics?

Ethan Stoetzer

This is perfectly timed for the holidays! Thanks Bernth! I need to start squeaking this in between my music lesson content 🤟🏻🥳☕️

Eric Bailey

This is exactly what I want. I made a routine with your separate videos but this will help streamline the process for me. Thank you.

Jason Ingersoll

Oh man, Christmas comes early this year. Thank you so much!
