Play This Riff, Get A Brand New Ibanez Guitar!

- Learn and play the main riff (measure 1-8)
- Play your own ideas over the rest of the backing track
- Record a video of you playing everything
- Upload it to social media (YouTube, Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook), tag me, and call the video Bernth When It Rains Cover
Deadline: November 13th, 2022

Just tested it and it works fine on my end :) You need the guitar pro software to open it - the free alternative program is Tuxguitar!

2022-10-19 06:20:55 +0000 UTCWhen I take a look at the previous winners, I also don’t see a chance to surpass such amazing players nor to make it into the final video selection BUT after learning the intro riff this weekend and improvising a bit over the rest of the backing track by learning the keyboard chord progression by ear: Man, it helps a lot to grow as a musician to be on your own and just play your own style with the skills you currently have! Give it a try buddy, it’s fun! 💪

Another edit: does the video recording have to be done in a single take, or can it be split up into smaller segments?

2022-10-14 09:28:59 +0000 UTCyou can either play ghost notes by slightly moving up your fret hand finger to mute the note but still play it to get a more rhythmic sound or mute it with you right hand using palm muting. Choice is up to you!
