2017-05-01 23:23:55 +0000 UTCAgreed it is an older obsolete design,; however, it does give the Chinese valuable ship building experience. This carrier will really only replace the already aging Laoning. The second generation of Chinese carriers will be a copy of US designs with catapult capability. They will have some difficulties, but will iron them out or steal the relative technology anyway. The real threat is in 20 or so years when they will be ale to lay down numerous "modern" carriers.
