#174 - 6 BEST Melodic Arpeggios (all guitarists MUST know!)

It's finally time for a NEW lesson! You guys and girls voted for the topic of arpeggios :)

With this video, I don't just want to show you 6 amazing shapes - I also want to show you a system to easily create your own shapes by working with your favorite chords! I also made an advanced arpeggio mini-course for you: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/j3fxxi87cmaaej1/AAD4Y2klXH3ZpMSAflV0mrw8a?dl=0

Additionally to the files for this lesson, you can find 3 arpeggio practice etudes in this Dropbox folder! These are meant to show you how to use arpeggios in a key for accenting cadences interestingly :) That's a great daily workout if you want to introduce more arpeggio lines into your solos and improvisation!

I hope you have tons of fun working on this - have an amazing day my friends!!

Hey guys. does anyone know the lesson number for the harmonic minor licks mentioned at 3 minutes? Thanks.

Anthony Wiseman

This is absolutely mindblowing value. Thank you for this upload. You rock Bernth

Andrei Cristof

Yes, you can do it!! :)

Bernd Brodträger

I started this arpeggio and was "man, this is something my mind isn't wired for" but after a few passes and realizing that part of my "rut" is I don't think to skip strings and try and play through them all sequentially (for lack of a better term) I'm starting to get it. No doubt if I put in the work, I can jump this hurdle

Awesome lesson Bernth! You've completely changed the way we see music and how to approach guitar studies! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication! keep going!

I've been subbed on YT for awhile but I just joined Patreon and after watching the collab in this video it is super inspiring to see others from all walks of life learning to play guitar from your videos. In 20 years of watching internet guitar videos myself, you're definitely one of the best and I'm thankful to have this content at this point in my life. It has helped my playing tremendously and it's very clear that there are many others. Cheers friend, thanks for doing what you do!

Seeing you laugh in this video was great. You became more relatable, just a person, instead of a guitar wizard. That alone is inspiring because it shows that we can also achieve what you have if we are disciplined and work for it.

You mentioned how only few use augmented triads outside of fusion and technical DM. I became curious as to what bands out there are using these in their comps and what bands you listen to or think would offer students great examples of clean, technical, and creative playing. I may be the only student who would be interested in this, but If not, you should consider sharing some bands/guitarists. Maybe even create a post where you break down the theory and technique behind a composition by a great band/guitarist. Just a thought. Thank you so much as always.

This is totally what I’ve been looking to improve on..I’ve printed out all the arpeggio shapes and have been working hard at learning them all…thanks BERNTH for putting this out there 🤟🏻🎸

In Sweden we have "förmodligen" which means the same thing as vermutlich. ✌️😎

😂😂😂I have to watch these videos several times because they make my smile and laugh! Seriously Bernth, I love seeing the new production with each video and it looks like you and the crew are having a ton of fun and I think that's just as important as the musical journey we're all taking together. It's the human element and it's fantastic! Huge thank you to you and everyone else! Can't wait to learn these! 🥳

Daniel Lager

This is exactly what I needed! Thanks as always Bernth :)
