#127 - Ultimate Left-Hand Technique Exercise!

Before we dive into your chosen topics for November, I'd like to share the exercise and concept that helped me most with correcting/improving my left-hand technique this year!

By including every finger in the workout, focusing on both hammer-ons and pull-offs, and by paying attention to note spacing/timing/articulation, I got some great results out of this exercise. Upon reviewing different things I tried (like emulating alternate picking licks and other concepts) it was THIS type of workout that really made a difference for me!

After practicing this more and more, I suddenly starting feeling each finger and got much better control out of my legato technique - timing became easier, and connecting the notes also worked much better. So this is what I'd recommend for you if you want to improve your technique as well :) It's also a vital part of my current routine (on multiple strings).

Here are the video play-alongs I recorded for you: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/t2jjwfc3845j11j/AACcTkRo5gYkxaK7Nwec1i_La?dl=0

Wow, this one really hurts when i practice it . Thanks ; )

Yes, he does use his middle finger on the second string, but you can pick it as well, which he actually does mention at one point.

Just watched the lesson on dropbox, I cannot make out whether you finger pick one of the strings, could you just clarify, do you finger pick the second string?
