Bernth, I have tried almost every paid guitar course there is and to no avail. You courses are the most organized I have ever come across. Words can't describe how much I enjoy them and have learned from them in the short amount of time I have been a subscriber. I have told all my music associates to check out your Patreon channel and subscribe if they actually want true professional material. Thank you for sharing your gifts with the world.

Danke dir.

Christian Homeier

I am here sept 14 2022 gonna go through all your material starting with this one! thanks dude

Hi Bernth, this is a great video. Mention of it is what made me a YouTube subscriber and brought me to your Patreon. I have a question at around the 7 minute mark Daniel mentions he connects the Link from the DI to the Kemper. At this point nothing is connected to the Kemper so is it going to the Kemper input? He doesn’t say and I’m not incredibly tech savvy. Also I don’t have a Kemper so I’ll be trying this with my iRig iStomp I/O so hoping it will work. 🤞🏻 Thanks

Debbie Barrette

oldie here stuck in the 70s 80s

Doug Walsh

Awesome lesson, the youtube preview is what got me to finally sign up for the patreon. Looking forward to improving my recordings and tone with this advice, thank you.

Zhim

Awesome video! I love seeing things like this. As a newbie I always feel a rather lost when working on an EQ and how to dial things to make it sound pleasing. This offers a lot of great insight!

Rob Lee

I mostly don't use individual pedals anymore, I have everything I need with my Kemper and Kemper remote (one 'pedal' for all amps, cabs, stomp FX,...) :)

Bernd Brodträger

Do you talk about your pedal chain?

Arcanist Bear

Great info! Yes, please do additional videos when possible. Thanks!

Ted Higgins

Thanks for reminding me! I just swapped the link - the full course is still in the Google Drive folder below :)

Bernd Brodträger

I bernth, I'm having the same issue regarding the dead link. thank you

jeremy Vaillancourt

This one blew my mind a bit as well :) I think you can apply it to pretty much anything if relevant frequencies aren't cut by doing it! I love experimenting with this, maybe we can do another episode like this in the future :)

Bernd Brodträger

Wow, the EQ mirroring is awesome. Is that applicable to live mixing too? What about cutting through keys and vox?

Joshua Shears

Thanks for letting me know Jose, I'm already working on resolving this, will be back up tomorrow latest :)

Bernd Brodträger

Bernth, link is dead can you repost it? thank you

Hey Bernth, I think I'm one of many non professional guitar players that still record and play with amp sims at home. This kind of content is really really helpful so I would encourage you to do this more regularly. You can tell your friend Daniel is skilled so it's very valuable for us to sit and watch what he does. The thing is, the lack of knowledge and experience with this equipment really makes a difference in our sound, so learning even basics and fundamentals helps things improve a lot. Thanks, and please do more of these!

Chris Johnston

Amazing vid!

Dimitri

The answer to your question is... Yes, you should do this more often!!!! That was so much information. Thanks, great

Wolfgang

great video. the only thing I do different is to record a left and right guitar with different cab sims, at the same time, so that I can blend them together. Usually one is a little darker in sound while the other has a little more high end sizzle to it. Then my 3rd out is my DI track. Peace and Metal, Lance.

Lance Denny

Thanks so much for the reply! And Zweischneidiges Schwert would be an awesome band name

Great question! The Kemper has a built-in noisegate that I often use but usually, there isn't enough gain to cause issues with the sounds I'm working with :) If you're looking for a pedal, I can really recommend the Decimator II, that one gets the job done for sure!

Bernd Brodträger

Awesome tutorial - thanks so much! I noticed there was no need for a noise gate for the guitar setup used here at least that I could tell) - any guidance on that? Is it better to roll back to where one isn't needed, even for high-gain amps like Engl and so on?

Wilhelm Glomm

Dominik Magdic

Love vids like this. Every time I see one I realize how much I DON'T know about my Cubase.....LOL.

Gary Beltrami

"...turning the lead guitar down a little.." "NO!!" So good, hahah.

Daniel

Its like magic, I never realised how you got the sound, But I struggle setting the timer on my oven.

Steve Shaw

As always, pure gold!!! thanks a lot Bernth.
