Yeah, it's not like we couldn't do research before. It's mainly that we wanted to hire someone dedicated to just doing research. Basically, a little extra help. And while all three of us (Chris, Matt, Shelley) speak some Mandarin, it's hard to read news-style Chinese unless you're fluent, and we wanted someone for that. Sometimes we call up random friends and ask for help translating something, but that's not really a reliable thing.
