Vincent, Matt, Shelley, and I do all the research. But mostly it's limited to information that's available in English, because our Chinese reading abilities are are limited. Occasionally we scramble to get Mandarin-speaking friends to help us translate something, but they aren't actually generating new story ideas. We want to hire a part-time person who is a skilled researcher in Chinese, so we can better access the treasure trove of unironic propaganda and user-generated hilarity that is China's internet.
