Great News Concerning The Guitar Pro Files!
Added 2020-06-18 06:17:03 +0000 UTCGood morning to the community, hope you are all having a great day :) Today I'd like to share some exciting news from Dominik, one of our community members on here. A lot of you guys sent me questions concerning the guitar pro files for the lessons (how to open them, where to buy the software, how much it costs,...) - I just learned that there is an open source program that can open them, here is the original comment from Dominik:
A free alternative to GP5 is Tuxguitar, its free and super easy to use, also all GP5 files are compatible with Tuxguitar. heres the Link: https://sourceforge.net/projects/tuxguitar/
Please let me know if this works correctly for the .gp5 files, I hope that you can all use these helpful transcriptions from now on :) Thanks again to Dominik for sharing this, input like that is always very welcome!

GP has been a good investment .. I knew about it for years but never got into learning songs.

2020-06-24 00:53:25 +0000 UTCJust downloaded and installed, works pretty good, nowhere near as good as what you use, but it works and it is free, so good enough for me and since it is a work in progress it will only get better. I forgot about the Linux community and all their hard work to make software freely available, and now it is recompiled for other OS, so that is cool. Thank you Dominik and Bernth, you both rock.

2020-06-18 07:04:10 +0000 UTCTux guitar is nice, but guitar pro seems better to me, and it’s not that expensive, since for like 70 bucks you can install it on 5 devices, so if you share it with 5 friends is like 14 bucks each.
