#91 - The Awesome Chromatic Shred Trick!

Time for another lesson, hope you are all having a great week so far :) In this one I wanted to feature the request for an improvisation lesson in a bit of a different light. Instead of talking about mindset or abstract concepts, I'd like to show you a system that you can apply to all your licks that will infuse them with a cool progressive sound!

Once you practiced this lick, you will be able to apply this on the fly to all kinds of licks, scales, and arpeggios. This will provide you with an interesting sound that doesn't result in total dissonance, the harmonic foundation will still shine through :)

I hope you will use this trick for your playing, have a lot of fun practicing! I also transcribed the cool arpeggio part from the video in the guitar pro file & PDF sheet!

Hey Micah, thanks a lot for your kind feedback, I'm happy that the lessons are helping :) On which device are you trying to download the PDF? I just tried it on my PC and Android smartphone and it worked - it's very important for me that all the content is accessible for all members, I'll forward the issue to Patreon as soon as you let me know about your device! Thanks a lot for your patience :)

Hi Bernth, Another great vid. Since I found your YouTube channel, I feel like a while new guitarist. I appreciate it. Alas, I'm having trouble getting the PDF to download. And I'm afraid I'm not too tech savvy. Any suggestions?

Micah Gathercoal

These lessons are fantastic. As someone who has played for 20 years but never strayed out of my comfort zone, this makes guitar feel like a new instrument to me and I’m excited about learning all these arpeggios and licks.

Hmm the bar magically appeared! :) Thanks.

Hey Mart, thanks for sharing! It shows on my device, could you refresh your browser and try it again? If you can't view it I'll inform the Patreon support! Thank you :)

Bernth, the video on this lesson doesn't have the progress bar any more, so can't move back and forth in the video. Real inconvenient... :)
