This course is the follow-up to '10 Steps to Modern Shredding', this time we closely dissect and learn the sweep picking technique. Since this is the most frustrating topic for all my students I spent over one year to build this course featuring all the key exercises that brought me the greatest results in my career - hope you enjoy that one!
The key feature is the skill tree (you level up, tracking progress similar to a video game), playalong bundle (I play all the exercises together with you in the videos) and the sweep picking application bundle (in week 9 & 10 we also check out how to apply all that in a practical context). It honestly depends on what's more interesting for you first - with 10 Steps I wanted to give a complete overview over modern shred guitar playing (timing, alternate picking, chords, arpeggios, fingerpicking, theory, tapping,...). With Sweep Picking Masterclass we only focus on this one technique and build it from the absolute foundation! So there's no special knowledge needed for the latter course. Some topics of 10 Steps are more advanced though but we start with the basic foundation every single week. So if you want to focus on sweep picking completely check out the masterclass, if you want insights into many, many topics over 10 weeks 10 Steps is the right choice :) Hope that helps a bit!

2020-03-03 06:17:38 +0000 UTCI was looking at buying one of these 2 classes - does the Sweep Picking Masterclass supersede the "10 steps" class? Should I start with one over the other? Are there any recommendations of knowledge / experience I should have before starting with either one? I'm comfortable with pentatonic, blues, and diatonic scales w/ each of the modes but I'm not great with arpeggios at all and haven't spent enough time learning/cementing all the triads/chords into memory.
