I watched most of Bakshi's films when I was in art college on Youtube. This was back when you could watch many full length movies on Youtube broken down into 10 minute videos.
I feel like most of Bakshi's films follow a similar pattern, nonsensical story that jumps around a lot, scenes that don't really go anywhere. I feel like you have to accept these films from what they are without trying to find anything super deep about them? I think if you aren't much of an animation buff, or don't care about animation history, Bakshi's films just aren't going to be for you. I wouldn't say they are necessarily "good", but should be praised for their existence in animation history I suppose.
I really think Saber should watch Coonskin to experience another extreme of Bakshi's work. I remember very little of it, but if Heavy Traffic made him uncomfortable with the representation of African Americans....Coonskin is uh, something.

so, Heavy Traffic is most for people at home, since it got all of those "nasty" nsfw content?
