From the moment we both finished listening to the Balance arc of The  Adventure Zone, we knew we had to make something to shine a light on one  of the most dynamic, well realized characters we've encountered.   "Redacted" sees Lucretia, Madame Director of the Bureau of Balance,  seconds before she makes the choice that would set the events of The  Adventure Zone in motion.

The words that I once loved 

Now drip with unease 

As I step back and at once 

See the forest for the trees  

It won’t matter our intentions 

Our hopes or our plans 

What matters is the end result 

This book in my hands  

No one will know how well we meant 

How much we sacrificed

All the pain of the past 

The stories and songs 

And the choices we’d rather forget
