Thank you a lot for the kind words. And Dani gets to have a positive influence on Lysette. I think I mentioned in a comment section that, if you remove Dani's encounter with Lysette on the way to Domark way back in Chapter 6, the entire story gets a lot, lot darker. Dani had a positive influence on her more than I think either character knows. Dani tempered Lysette's all-encompassing need for vengeance, and gave her the human connection she lost after that night. Convinced her not to go murderhobo on any and everyone in the process. Maybe that's the hidden theme of the story. That connections and friendships make the world a better place. I dunno.

Reading this I can feel how much Kiarra was agonizing about her perceived failure before she felt she had no other option left. Just as last chapter I started believing that Danitha was just wrong but ended seeing her point just like Lysette did. You make it really easy to understand the characters and see their sides.
