The girls of Journey Gone Astray

I figure that with the last lady of the main relationship in this fic finally appearing, it was time to share the images I will be using to describe the trio. Yes, I put in the image of Starfire in the latest chapter, but that was more because I just found that image and thought it was perfect and wanted to share it.

I also saw Novus’s comments (and Cormag81’s, seen and corrected) about my being all over the place with breast size and made those corrections. Still, I though it would be a good idea to make certain I’ve got everything normalized there when I go back over the older chapters.   The revamped Journey 5 is up now, though, so thank you both for your comments!

Anyway, here are the girls.  The little blurbs of information will probably be updated as I go along, but will help me as much as it will help you all who might not be as familiar with the comics.

First we have...

Kara Zor El.  The one who’s had the most screen time so far. 

Personality: She is a very weird mix of country girl/girl next door/science gal.  She has loved her time with the Amazons, and on the farm, but comes from a very high-tech society and from a family of scientists.  She is naturally shy, a extrovert who latches onto her friends and loved ones, but really would not be happy in a crowd. She’s got a sense of humor, but doesn’t like humor based on insults or the other person’s intelligence.  Would possibly take any kind of ‘you’re so fat’ or ‘your mom’ jokes as a sign you want your head caved in.

Body type: Country girl.  She’s a bit bigger than most girls her age up top, but I haven’t decided if she will be getting any bigger either in the bust or the height department just yet.  Currently, she’s bigger than Ranma (and will stay that way) and a decent amount bigger than Cassie (and won’t) but is smaller than Koriand’r is currently and that will probably stay the same, since Kori’s a lot taller than her.    

Fashion: She and Ranma are both very much in the ‘fashion, what’s that, can you eat it’ side of things. 

Superhero costume: I don’t think she’ll ever go the normal Supergirl look when she becomes a official super hero, but I couldn’t find one I felt matched her jibe after her time with the Amazons and with Ranma.  I think she’ll probably get rid of the cape, but won’t go for a soldier-type outfit.  Depending on future choices, she may want to pay homage to her Kryptonian heritage like Clark, or her new home.  We will see.

Cassie Sandsmark. While not having as much screen time recently, Cassie sure made an impression on our wandering martial artist.

Personality: Generally outgoing, Cassie’s been somewhat stymied by the envy of other teens her age and being younger than the more serious warriors on Isle of Women, but isn’t really willing to just go out and hang where other teens hang out to try and meet friends.  She is smart, but very much would prefer to be doing something physical.  She is the girl who would be on the track and field team and become its captain, essentially.  Likes comedy, action movies, hugs from friends, and running. Make fun of her heritage at your peril.  Has no idea about flirting or romance as yet, and isn’t really interested in it just yet, and is learning more from watching TV and movies than interacting with people while Diana is away. Also a major music enthusiast, hence me going with a picture that has headphones for Cassie.

Body Type: Svelte sprinter type body, with added muscle in her legs and some more curve than most, but not up to Kara’s chest size, is a B cup now, but will not remain there.  Somewhat envious but will not be for long.  A trained warrior, she is quite proud of her six pack and likes to show it off unconsciously.

Fashion sense:  She does know about fashion and likes to dress up, but only occasionally. She would probably spend more money on rare albums and music than clothing, but she would be the type to want to dress up and go to a gala or ritzy restaurant so long as she likes the company.

Superhero costume: Cassie will be the most likely to actually incorporate some armor and weapons in her costume.  Sword, shield, maybe a spear too, although maybe not.  Depends on if I go Hoplite or more skirmisher.

Koriand’r/Starfire:

Personality: Due to being sold off to Mogul before she reached puberty let alone maturity, she has a mix between Tamaranean and Warworldian.  She has very little in the way of body modesty, is an Empath, outgoing, friendly and extremely huggy, but she does have a temper and is prone to reacting to being attacked or insulted far faster than normal people.  She has no idea about music, is barely at the level of a middle-schooler in terms of her education, but is more than willing to learn.  Will not trust someone if their emotions and what they are showing is too different.   Loves being outdoors, would hate the idea of being indoors for any length of time with a passion, as she’s been, well locked up in Warworld for nearly half her life. Doesn’t yet know what her sense of humor will be like, but anything mean spirited will get her frowning at you like a disappointed puppy.

Body Type: Tall, built like a supermodel, Koriand’r’s already developed all the curve’s she will get, while still growing in height.  She is by far the biggest of the girls in chest size (which, admittedly, this picture doesn't show), though her thighs aren’t as strong looking as Cassie’s, and she doesn’t have as much visible muscles as Cassie or even Kara since the last thing she was allowed to do was exercise more than necessary to keep herself pretty.

Fashion Sense: Anything skimpy and revealing, but not necessarily sexy.  She has very little body consciousness, but has spent nearly a decade around people who have seen her as an object, so is very touchy on that.  She likes being desired and is open with her body, but that ends the moment someone sees only her body and not her.  Would be very much the sort to enjoy playing dress up, go shopping and have fun with clothing. Is fully aware that her orange skin does’t go with certain colors.

Superhero costume: She’ll probably be the one to have a suit closest to canon.  Could be a little skimpier than in this picture as she knows how durable she is, but could also be a bit less revealing in terms of her thighs because she’s jealous about how Cassie’s muscles.

Because so many of you asked, Here’s Ranma.   (Yes, that is a shameless use of the first episode of the TV show) 

Personality: Never met a martial art he didn’t like, Ranma is footloose, free and pretty much unwilling to settle down as most people would understand the term.  He is something of an extrovert, not in that he is quick to make friends, but is simply friendly and outgoing. Despite that, he only has a very few number of true friends, mainly because of his overall attitude and lack of anything normal people would call common sense. Can’t bluff to save his life in cards, but in a fight it’s easy.  Would rather punch something than sit down in a classroom.  Likes rock and some country but is picky.  Knows about romance and is willing to try it out, but is very picky and doesn’t really know how to start that ball rolling like a normal person.  Is perfectly at home with his female body, but has never explored it overmuch, believing that perverted.  He has never, nor will ever (IN ANY OF MY FICS) be interested in men.

Body Type: While his time with the Amazons did a lot of good to offset his years of near-malnutrition under Genma, Ranma wasn’t there long enough to offset all of it, and went right back to not eating as much or what he should after leaving.  As such, he’s not all that much taller than in cannon, being barely 5’ 8”.  He is broader and stronger looking though, with real, visible muscle in both his forms, even if ‘she’ doesn’t retain ‘his’ six pack.  (yes, Ranma’s annoyed by that). In his female form, Ranma is a shortstack, with a C-cup breast size as Americans measure things, and only about 4’ 11”.  This mean’s she’s shorter by a few inches than even Supergirl, who is shorter than Cassie by two inches.  Unlike the girls, he won’t be growing in terms of height, except when he’s in his Shazam form, where he will be a towering 6’ 7”.

Fashion Sense:  Oddly to many people, Ranma does have a fashion sense, if in a very limited manner. He knows he doesn’t want to be Genma.  He prefers clothing that is hard wearing, light and easy to move in and can go with both forms because he can recognize a pattern. He knows about colors, but beyond knowing what works he doesn’t care and the very idea of caring about anyone else’s opinion would make just stare at you as if you spoke Martian. Would prefer to buy food over clothing or indeed any kind of shopping any day of the week.

Superhero Costume: No. He might be talked into something like Power Fist eventually, but that’s about all.  Something he could use in both his forms. As for his Shazam-form, same colors, lightning bolt, yep.  But that’s all you’ll get out of me right now.

Hope this helps, and that you all continue to enjoy this fic. Sorry about how late this is going up, but I had the whole morning free, so I 5,000 words done for Bhaalson before shifting to going over the Journey chapter and then this.  Ugh.  I also wanted to post some pics for Bhaalson, but I think I’ll wait on that. I won’t do the whole notes, thing, though, but I know that some people didn’t play Baldur’s Gate 1&2.
