August Ranma Only Poll

And now for the Ranma Only Poll.  The HP poll will come out this weekend, by which time I hope to have a better idea of both my own schedule and if Tomon is up to helping with a Stallion of the Line chapter.

The choices are:

Journey Gone Astray – Ranma/DC crossover: Kara and Ranma start their trip across America on foot, having to deal with a few things Kara hadn’t anticipated, Ranma needing to sing to put a roof over their heads, and people who honk at them inappropriately. Meanwhile, Cassie deals with modern appliances, decides that commercials are evil, and has her first run-in with a ‘super villain’. Still traveling, Kara decides she likes the country more than cities if only because of the quality of people, as Ranma decides that yes, Daisy Dukes are sufficient proof of God existing. Several assholes attempt shit stupidly, before Ranma and Kara find themselves facing a living biohazard.  Leaving the premises before the cameras find them proves just as hard as dealing with the ‘super villain’ (more annoyance really) in the first place but is accomplished as the duo continue on their way.  After Kara attempts and fails to follow in Ranma’s footsteps, the pair come within sight of Star City just as trouble arrives from on high in the form of a small, extremely fast moving object from beyond the atmosphere. At that sight, the pair rush forward, unaware that more danger is on the horizon.

Stallion of the Line – Ranma/One Piece crossover: After a few days on Amazon Lily, Raffy leaves once more in the company of Sanji, Franky, Vivi, Sandersonia and Robin, almost instantly running into problems with both his cook and his ship.  Luckily, those problems don’t slow the trip, and they arrive at Shabondy prior to their heading to Mermaid Island without issue.  Instead, they find issues waiting for them in the form of the Marine’s new local commander and Jewelry Bonney.  A chance to talk goes out the window, and Luffy is faced with a problem he created, until a solution arrives unlooked for by both him and Bonney.  The marines once more attempt to make trouble, but fail to really register before the Everlasting Resolve is ready for it’s second underwater adventure.  The group continue on to Fishman Island, where they instantly run into still further pirate-type problems, much to the quick chagrin of said interlopers.  Meeting with the king, Jinbe and their family is interrupted by flying axes, and Vivi becomes angry while Luffy angers the locals, before offering a solution to their problem. It turns out that Kenbunshoku is a great skill to use when you’re hunting someone.   However, even as Robin and Luffy have a moment while exploring history, other problems arrive to cause headaches for Luffy and Jinbe alike.

This poll will go to the 12th unless I change my priorities vis which story to work on first.  And don’t worry folks, I will be posting the latest Effect chapter here on Patreon later today. I wanted to give Hiryo time to look at least the first half of it over for me.  If Journey wins, it will be posted here, and I will put the first chapter over on fanfic and AO3.

As for the carryover effect, there won’t be one.  If I went by the normal rules for such, I’d give it to journey, but since that fic’s not been in the Ranma poll before, I don’t think that’s very fair either way.
