April 2025 Patron Only Poll
Added 2025-03-25 19:49:17 +0000 UTCHowdy all!
It is time to turn my attention to Making Waves. King of Champions is done, and hopefully, Tomon will have Stallion back to me tonight. I doubt it will have been given the full Tomon experience, but it should be enough.
Er…. Just a warning. The chapter is huge. Like, I have a 5,000 plus lemon/romance scene to put in that Tomon didn’t get, a marine-centric scene, and... yeah, it might be 50,000 words. Stallion returning with a vengeance!!
Moving forward, I am going to still be trying to finish redoing ATP. I’ve finished going over the China scene, but I had to essentially add 4 to five thousand more words to the Thanos vs. Hela et al segment. To say nothing of the clash between him and Thor. That segment is itself 2,000 words longer than it was. So the rest of the chapter is still to do.
HOWEVER. I can cut Making Waves in half. Make the chapter to be put out by the end of March the travel/interaction/plan segment, then cut it off right before the actual battle. If I do that, I can, hopefully finish up ATP. I wouldn’t count on it though. SIGH. Anyway. Here is the Patron Only poll for April. The choices are:
Death’s Avenger - HP/WoW crossover: Harry and his fellow flyers start their journey south, with Versera proving to be a good resting spot, as well as a gregarious companion, while Harry and Reca just enjoy the flight until a group of wyverns and rocs decides to exit the gene pool. The terrain changes after some time, and a stopover for food includes the discovery that as long its got feathers, it will taste like chicken. The next few problems revolve around wind and snow, but height solves all issues, until Versera runs into an old frenemy. While two lady dragons work out their issues, Harry runs into his first Fel-using harpies for a while… while he is in his phoenix form. This causes certain issues, with Reca coming to his rescue and the pair showing these new harpies that training and cleverness matter a lot more than numbers. The flight eventually continues, with Versera explaining some things about draconic culture to Harry and Reca. A hunting trip down to the coastline brings still more problems, while to the far north, Tyrande and her band battle through a well-crafted aquatic ambush. This separates Tyrande and Shy-Rotam from her companions for a time, but attacking her proves to not be the soft option. Eventually, reunited, the ships finally reach the northern tip of Kalimdor, where they plan to strike out to the open ocean.
Climbing Together – Ranma/Street Fighter/King of Fighters crossover: The morning’s awkwardness gives way to a heart to heart with all three sober now, while Shampoo makes the trio breakfast as they plan going forward Chun Li ponders her life’s choices and the corruption of the city she was born in over a hilariously large mug of coffee, followed by a last meeting with a far too chipper Shampoo and Mai. She and the rest of the martial artists get together for a final meeting, during which Ryu calls dibs on the next bought with Ranma. The trio leave that afternoon, and after a few days getting used to life on the sea, a talk about the phrase sharing is caring and how its not limited to just the romance side of things is discussed, with Ranma being put in the doghouse for a bit as Genma is on the run from soldiers. In Shampoo’s village, Cologne receives several pieces of mail, causing quite a bit of shock and a Mousse to slip away into the night, followed by Cologne having a meeting and leaving on her own, hoping to get ahead of her great granddaughter’s planned route so they can ‘talk’. The trio make landfall, finding not much in the way of a challenge until Ranma finds himself in an eating contest while Mai finds herself an object of jealousy, which leads the trio to discover a new side of Yin energy, much to their chagrin.
Heroes of the High Seas – My Hero Academia/One Piece crossover: Izuku and his friends face a rising threat to Paradise in the form of Gasparde, former Marine. While initially, their plans of engagement make sense, and start to halt the ongoing disaster, Momo and Jirou find themselves facing the man himself. Both prove that tenacity and imagination matter a lot, but are nearly overwhelmed before Izuku arrives to help finish the battle. Meanwhile, all of this is being observed by a certain raven-haired young woman, who overhears things from Tsu and Iida that the group would rather have kept secret. Rebuilding and introductions follow, with the marines more than willing to agree to anything to get the teens help and sign them into the marines. During this, a romantic moment is interrupted by a Monkey Hero’s arrival, where the teens are placed under his command quickly. A short discussion is had in the shadows between Momo, Izuku and a watcher, making them wonder about this new world even more than they had been. However, such thoughts do not remain in their heads for long as Garp proves to be both a harsh but effective teacher, and Izuku realizes he can become even stronger if he can push himself hard enough, while Mei and Melissa find themselves fighting to remain with the marines rather than sent elsewhere, forcing a small confrontation and Garp going to bat for the group, taking them further under his wing than before.
Climbing Together will be the one to get the carry-over effect, gaining a total of 974. That’s sort of annoying for me, because I am in a major One Piece bender right now LOL. Exercising to One Piece should keep me happy for months, even if I watch 3 episodes a day. I… hmm… I don’t know which I will vote for. I do want to write in OP land. But I also know that it’s been going on four months since Climbing Together was updated. I… I will vote in this poll if either of those stories have a chance to win. If not, I will keep my votes for one of the other polls.
(And as an aside, go read Convergent Devil. It hasn’t been updated in forever, but it is really good, the only fic that doesn’t get to Alabasta I have reread several times.)
This poll will end on the seventh. That should give me time to finish ATP if I haven’t yet, outline the chapters I need to for the rest of the month, post the other polls, and so forth. Type to you all later, guys and girls.

If you have the chance, and haven't already found it, you might want to try "This is Gonna be Fun" by BlueAutumn12. Mostly Ace being a troll, but there's also quite a bit of Garp Shenanigans!

2025-03-25 19:57:00 +0000 UTCChanging things up, voting for Heroes this time bc it's Garp time! Can't wait to see how horrified Izuku gets after realizing that Garp and Gran Torino went to the same school for being an old troll, but Garp passed as valedictorian!
