January2025 Patron Poll Results

A very BLAHHHH Monday Morning to you all.  Away from the family at last, but the last few days were quite bad due to being on baby time.  URGH…

Anyway. 

First, Jeremy Boyet: I don’t know if you guys see secondary responses.  I get notified if you respond to a post, but not if you respond to a response.  Regardless, I took your critiques on Tom Sawyer to heart, and made several corrections, added in more detail, enlarged the time spent moving up and around Scotland, and several other things, particularly the need to tow Harry’s ship directly back to port.  If/when I take up the story again, I might add more in terms of close run-ins with Aurors during that time frame, but I think the timing I have in the teaser chapter now makes sense.  If anyone has actually travelled via ship along that course, I will be happy to add in more real life details. Harry’s journey won’t be easy, and will always push him to come up with new magical solutions, which I hope to make a highlight of the first few chapters before this VERY DIFFERENT Harry goes to Hogwarts.

Second. I have most of the noncombat scenes for FILFy done, which means I should indeed be able to finish it by the end of the month, and then send it off to be edited so it can be posted here on Patreon and over on fanfic. 

Third.  I have finally begun to edit Chapter 53 of ATP.  I will take the rest of today and tomorrow to work on that and editing my outline for the winner of this poll before starting to really write it.  I will then come back to it every day I have to end a poll until it’s done.  That should mean I can get the chapter up by the end of the month.  We will see.

Now for the announcement you all are actually here for, LOL. 

In the first Patron Story Poll of 2025, the winner is… indeed the Harryboos.  Despite five of the six comments on the poll that were about the poll itself being in favor of Heroes of the High Seas, HP took the poll. 

With 388 from the carry over and my own 400 votes, Heroes of the High Seas brought in a tidy sum of 2,199. 

If the HP poll had been split, that might have been enough for it to win, but it was not, and Death’s Avenger brought in 2,267 votes.

In February, Heroes will, AGAIN get the carry over effect of 1,099.  That should hopefully be enough to give it the win without my votes, which I may want to use elsewhere. 

I will be posting a numbers only poll soon, just asking everyone’s opinion on something.  I… well, there might be another such in the future, but we will see how this month goes first.
