December2024 Ranma Poll

Good afternoon, well, where I am anyway.  It is time to post the December polls.  By the time you see this, the December Format Poll results will also have been posted.  To summarize, the idea of replacing a fandom specific poll won, and with help from a random number generator site, I chose to replace the HP poll. 

The choices for the Ranma poll are:

Effect of a Horse and a Dragon – Ranma/Mass Effect Crossover:  While Herb and his other friends arrive back at Mostromos, having astonishingly gotten away from the Citadel without much trouble thanks to Usagi’s… persuasiveness and the help of the Consort, Ranma and his new friend welcome Benezia to the Shadow Broker’s ship, realizing quickly that she has brought both friends and plans.  While said friends are dealing with the Broker’s web as a whole, Benezia is more interested in teasing Ranma and his new friend and planning for the future. She and Ranma have an interesting discussion about the Spectres, about his Code, and targets, while Tali gets to know some of Benezia’s commandoes as they work on the pirate ship. Meanwhile, the two Matriarchs take over the Shadow Broker’s network, keeping it running while folding it into their own apparatuses.  This being an ongoing issue, Ranma and Tali are allowed to head off on their first jaunt together in the pirate ship after sending off a message to Mostromos and Omega. Following a Trojan Horse type plan, the pair run into an entirely unexpected issue, one that brings to light an even larger problem, leading back to one of the targets on Ranma’s list, and a certain Spectre that Benezia was interested in investigating before meeting Ranma and Herb.

Gods and Devils and Wild Horse, Oh My – Ranma/DxD crossover: With Ranma sidelined by his work colleague, a very persistent stalker attempts to press his suit, running into one barrier after another before finding himself faced with an irate monk and a furious redhead. Diodora’s attempt to use political and social pressure on Rias fail, and a fight erupts on the temple grounds, with some unusual results.  It turns out that the monks don’t know how everything there works, only some things.  Meanwhile, Saeko faces the last trial before claiming her new blade, which turns out to be quite a shocking experience. Meanwhile, Vali and Ranma both are having a ‘fun’ time, with one facing an enemy whose magical attacks are frustratingly annoying and the other a guy who’s far better at midair combat than he is.  The fight continues until it is interrupted by someone wanting to join in on this monkey business, whereupon a bit of Ranma’s past in China is brought up, a wild Shampoo arrives, and a fight becomes chaotic in the extreme with only one of the people involved feeling at home in the madness.  Rias proves a bit too much for Diodora until he uses his trump card, forcing Rias to flee, until aid unlooked for comes out of a well. 

Hmmm…. I think I’d like to have Effect win here, although I doubt I will vote for it.  The reason being, I am going to close this poll REALLLY quickly.  As in, it will close on the 5th.  That gives me enough time to outline the fics I haven’t already, and start the winner here, finish it and move on. 

Oh, and GDWHOM will be getting the carry-over effect, ¼ of what it won last month, that being 382 votes.
