Questions Once More, I have.

Hello everyone!

First as always, a bit of a sitrep. I have finished work on Heroes of the High Seas, I will be sending it out to its editor(s?) later tonight. I will then start work on FILFy Teacher and work on that until next Tuesday. If I haven’t finished the chapter by then, I will leave it and switch on to the winner of the Ranma poll, as I don’t want work on the fourth story of the month to get in the way of the other three poll-chosen stories.

That being said, I wish to also ask a few more questions of you all going forward.

First, for Magic of the Force:

1.      I think it’s pretty clear that Anakin is no longer going to willingly dive headfirst into the Dark Side as he did in cannon. The war will still shape him to a certain degree, but he will be becoming a knight in truth sooner than in canon but he’s no longer prone to falling to the Dark Side at the drop of the metaphorical hat.

However, there remains one question: Anakin wants to be in love with someone. Padme is most decidedly no longer on the table. So who should it be? I’m open for suggestions so long as they are from this period, and not a padawan at this time. I would prefer a Force user, but that isn’t a game changer. I’m just curious to see you who you all might want to see eventually involved with him.

2.      This one might just be me, but I’m afraid that it feels to me as if my Sidious POVs are getting too repetitive. Should I cut them out until something major occurs? Or are his little movements on the political scene still interesting enough even while he basically is forced to play a slooow game while the war continues on and nothing major occurs for a little while in terms of his clandestine war against the Jedi?

Second, some questions for my Ranma fans and Stallion of the Line.  (Yes, hopefully, Tomon will be getting the chapter back to me at some point this week and I will host the final version of the latest chapter here and over on fanfic. We will see.)

1.      Should Ace and Whitebeard’s crew attempt to strike out on their own, elevate Ace or Marco to try and take over the position of a Yonko? Or should they toss in their lot with Raffy right away? The latter is how I initially thought it would play out, but I’m not certain Marco and the other surviving commanders would be willing to go with it.

2.      Shiki. I’m honestly uncertain what to do with this character from here on. Would he try to take over the white beer crew? He kind of has them all under his power right now. Could be a a source of internal conflict among the pirates there. Or is he honorable enough to just finish helping them escape, and then go his own way, which may or may not include taking up his plans again that white beard had interrupted. Or should he be the one to try and retrieve white beards weapon and body? Curious to see what people think of him.

3.      Should I have Sanji’s estranged family reach out to the Straw Hat crew same way that they reached out to Big Mom? I have two ways I can play with Reiju and the rest, I’m just not certain which makes the most sense given everything that has occurred. I just don’t have as good a handle on the patriarch of the Vinsmoke family’s character as I would like to have.

And lastly, some Fate Touched in Middle Earth questions.

1.      The Blue Wizards and the Easterlings. I’m curious which version of the Blue Wizards people believe is more canonically accurate, because Tolkien himself changed the background of the Blue Wizards later in life. At first, the two brothers, followers of Ulmo, had gone east and eventually they fell into darkness. Whether or not that meant they failed, and were subsequently killed, or turned to evil as Saruman later does, is up for interpretation, although Tolkien later hinted in his letters that maybe they started secret cults based around dark magic that survived even Sauron’s fall, hence one interpretation that I might go with in the future when dealing with the Easterlings.

The other interpretation comes later in Tolkien’s life, and basically boils down to the idea that they were sent earlier than the other wizards, and actually succeeded for a time, damaging Sauron’s control over the Easterlings in such a way that they could not devote the sheer numbers that they would otherwise have been able to bring to bear against the men of the east and the elves, who would have been overwhelmed otherwise.

Pretty different interpretations, as I said. I’m not going to promise to follow one or the other just yet, as I think that I will be delving into the Easterling’s only vaguely, and only through, heh, violent interactions against them for quite a while. I’m just curious about which you all find the most intriguing.

2.      Thorin and war.  Have I made Thorin an interesting enough character that you all would like to see a point of view from his perspective as he journeys past the Iron Hills into the lands of his wife’s people? And further, would you like to see the dwarves at war without Harry and Tauriel being there for a bit?

3.      Same question in general terms with Aragorn. I have plans to follow him, and to a lesser extent, Harry and Tauriel’s journey in Gondor later on in the story. However, I am wondering about whether or not I should show some interactions with him and with the other rangers of the North prior to that time. That is a part of Aragorn story that we don’t know much about. Leadership is a tricky thing, and just because he was raised to be a leader doesn’t mean that it is all smooth sailing after all. Yet a part of me thinks that showing that stuff in detail would drag the story on, and I am uncertain that it needs it.

(And yes folks, I will be showing some instances soon about his interactions with Elrond, and Arwen and how he fell in love with her. That’s kind of a must, LOL, as it shapes everything else about his life going forward.)

And last, but certainly not least, a moment of silence for the passing of a legend. For those of you who don’t know, James Earl Jones, the voice actor for Darth Vader, the actor who played Thulsa Doom in Conan and many other roles throughout his time as an actor, passed away yesterday at the age of ninety-four. He will be missed, just as Terry Pratchett, Leonard Nemoy and Sir Christopher Lee before him.

another thing Shiki might do Rather then taking a leadership position is just assigning himself as an adviser or something to either Raffy Marco or Ace. then living it up on their handwork and once in a while flying something somewhere and maybe giving some halfway decent advice or just some pirate history. i can really easily imagine him as the grumby Grandpa on some Crew that's pretty useless for the most part but really comes through in a few specific scenarios

Nit Rogen

i would honestly think Shiki might just retire at this point he almost has no limps and i felt that it would kinda make sense that he joined Whitebeard mostly as a last-final hurrah kinda thing. I think Jerma 66 would have good reason to try to get the Strawhats in their pocket especially if and when they find out Sanji is on the crew but on the other hand I don't think Raffy would be too interested in having them as allies at least not before he lays down the Law so to speak. and Reiju would definitely have to be a big part of that otherwise I don't think Raffy would have any patience for them at all. imagining one of Sanji's brothers seeing Raffys girl form I think the chance of them really pissing her off is huge. i also think that even if they approach the Strawhats with a deal they would most likely still try to deal with Big Mom on the side. also if I remember correctly the Strawhats should not be enemies with Big Mom yet since no Fishman Island stuff has happened yet. I think the most realistic thing to happen with the Whitebeard crew would be for them to split up under Marco and Ace and stay happy rivels with the straw hats. but still trying to hold on to their independence basically kinda like Roger and Whitebeard just with less deadly fights. maybe some of them would join the straw hats as well depending on what they think of him/her or depending on them losing more territory over time. I don't think they would join right away only after Raffy proves himself able to hold territory and they themselves realize they can't hold it as effectively without Whitebeard at the helm. also Raffy really is a Big fish Now his impact on the would most be abselutly huge after this fight since he easyly has shown himself able to fight admirals to a standstill even potentially being able to win against some them. even in the new world that's a huge feat. only really Yonko Commanders and up sould be any Problem and i think most others would Proberly Run on sight. Maybe Raffy would have to use his female form to even get the chance to fight after this, as long as his enemy is not Yonko Commander and stronger.

Nit Rogen

Fate Let’s split the difference on the Blues. 1 of them gets corrupted and sets up a Morgoth worshipping cult under Sauron’s whispers into his mind. The other finds out and kills him. The Easter kings are now set up to be easily corrupted. Thorin and Aragorn are both interesting characters. I would say when Harry and Thorin separate seeing Thorin fight without his wizard friend and how Harry’s outside perspective has effected Thorin thought process versus other dwarves would be cool. Aragorn. Young 20’s Aragorn would be cool to see. No deeper thoughts just some funny failures and early successes and finally the rangers accepting him as their acting leader in truth and not just in name

Jeffrey Smith

Magic Why does Anakin need to fall in love during the story timeline? He’s 20 and has a very demanding career. Ashoka is a good choice for later on though. She’s what 5 years younger and more importantly not his apprentice. Let them do the flirting getting to know each other thing and sometime later they wind up married.

Jeffrey Smith

For stallion of the line, I think whitey should take over the whitebeard pirates for the time being. They still need to protect the islands that depend on their name for protection. I think that Raffy would have a loose is alliance with the whitebeard pirates but not a brother hood like the one he had with bon clay. The kuja pirates will be under Raffy like you have discussed, but I ask think that Hina should eat crow and became a subordinate pirate crew to Luffy, w/ either Vivi being in charge of that group so that Luffy has a presence in Alabasta. I’m curious what are you planning for the world’s reaction specially for the other yonkos.

Alain Icasiano

Sotl, depending on how the final version of the chapter goes, I would see whitey taking over leadership at first, especially if whitebeard did right that note out. She did strike out on her own after all. I can also see them eventually getting into a fight with the WG and Raffy coming to the aid. Joining after something like that would make sense. I just don't see them as joining Ranma's crew quite yet.

Tim Nope

What about Riyo Chuchi? The senator from pantora. Or heck, instead of harry going to the hapes princess, anakin does it. Would be interesting

Chris Sobieray

For Magic of the Force, I like Palps' POVs. It shows that he may not be winning but he isn't down or out. I think you do a really good job of balancing them out between him and Harry and friends. Too be honest, I would like to see what Alecto or Quinlan and Komari are up too as well. Now as for a pairing for Anakin to be attracted to. I know she isn't a jedi, but Riyo Chuchi wouldn't be a bad choice. She would be a good counter toward Anakin personality wise and still fit into him dating a senator mold. I know that Sabé is into Eirtaé in your story, and it might be creepy in a sense that she looks so much like Padme, and some could argue he is substituting, but she wouldn't be a bad pick per se on how you write that. Bo-Katan would be an interesting pairing with their different cultures and shared stubbornness. When it comes to Jedi. Anakin is still pretty young, so I don't think he will purposely pursue a family right after the bat with a love interest and it could give you some freedom for a few years. Good thing is that many female jedi that aren't masters have some info but are largely open books when it comes towards canon during this time period, so you have more room to write them how you want them. Some padawans like Serra Keto, Battlemaster and Chief of Security of the Jedi Temple Cin Drallig's padawan, or Bariss Offee. Barriss and Anakin could help each other out of the dark side and having a healer wife might temper Anakin more. For other jedi, Anakin could stop Tohno from sacrificing herself and was a rather interesting character for a one off jedi in a story. Considering some of the characters you use, I'm surprised Aubrie Wyn hasn't showed up, who is also a healer. I know it's cheating on the timeline (but it's fanfiction) now, but Eldra Kaitis would be a great contender. A Twi'lek tied into the Darth Maul storyline. Olee Starstone has a pretty good storyline from that time period too. She is also a padawan, like Jerec was, of Jocasta Nu. So, she could tie into the story currently. Twi'lek Jedi Knight Rachi Sitra grew up into slavery on Ryloth but was picked up by the jedi and became a jedi archeologist and a great lightsaber duelist. Olee and Rachi are ties for 2nd place. My #1 pick would be Tallisibeth Enwandung-Esterhazy or aka Scout. She was considered a weak jedi but learned to harness her powers very creatively and was considered very kind. She would be Anakin's direct opposite. Her story is great and I'm sad Disney (I'm sad with a lot of things Disney has done with Star Wars) has done nothing with her.

Salvage48

First, for Magic of the Force: 1. I don't know enough about cannon to be able to name many female jedi. Add to that that Ankin is still technically a teenager at his point (I think) and that unless you plan on him getting together with whoever you pick next chapter it could be a year or two in universe before they get together ... well, I'm not sure who to suggest. However, I could see Anakin getting with a warrior or mechanic as easily as a Jedi so someone who is 2 of the 3 would be a good choice. 2. Sidious should keep a presence in the story to keep the impression he has a finger in what is going on. Not sure if this should be done with POVs or just have lots of cameos and mentions of him. Second, Stallion of the Line. 1. & 2. Even now the Whitebeard pirates should have a lot of ships so why do they all need to do the same thing? Could see some following Marco, as he was the second in command. Some following Shiki, especially if he acts honorably and recovers Whitebeards body. Some joining Raffy with Ace. Some following Whitey as Whitebeard brought her in to help deal with the aftermath of his death. And I could see all of this happening at the same time, creating a loose collation instead of the centralized group they were under White Beard's command. Lastly, Fate Touched in Middle Earth 1. The two Blue Wizards stories are not directly contradictory. The second could be seen as adding more details to the first. 2. I'm find with this. This is a very Dwarf heavy story so far no reason not to lean into that. 3. Unless you plan on going into Aragorn interacting with the other rangers indepth it could be delt with a/some flash backs when he tells Harry about it or it otherwise comes up, giving context and hints without concentrating on it.

Bryan Brown

Wow. I didn't notice until now that I sent that. It was an accident obviously. Maybe I was looking at the comments after a workout and some sweat got on the screen.

Aragorn93

Magic of the Force 1. I do not know enough about the lore of Star Wars and potential characters that would be force users that could be paired with him. One thing that I do think would be important is that whoever is chosen is someone that is a fighter. Anakin is someone that seeks out combat and thrives in that so whoever is chosen I feel as if they need to be just as at home. There is a part of me that thinks it would be interesting if he were to come across a female dark side user that is just as adapt at martial combat like Asajj Ventress and converts her back to the light; someone like that would be willing to get into combat situations and would be more than happy to wage a war with slavers. The other idea I had is that he ends up in a relationship with a female Mandalorian that is a mercenary that he first has to work with to free a planet thanks to them being hired and from there things blossom as they live through the combat together. 2. When it comes to Sidious, I do find his scenes to be a bit repetitive and I would be perfectly fine if he only gets screen time when it is important. However, I do like seeing everything as then when the villain does something the drastically affects Harry and Co. it does not feel as if we are being blind sided and that it was not just being railroaded to happen. Fate Touched in Middle Earth 1. I have no comment in regards to the Blue Wizards and Easterlings as I do not know enough of the lore beyond the books. 2. I would have no problem seeing things from the point of view of Thorin, Kili, and or Fili as they have been developed as interesting characters. Even seeing combat and war with the dwarves will be interesting as we have only seen Thorin and company in social settings but there was so many ideas and things that Harry and Thorin talked about during their travels so it would be cool to see if he did implement anything. 3. Honestly, I think it would be interesting to see Aragorn’s travels across the lands but I do agree that it would drag on. If anything, it would be cool to see these travels as he recounts them to Harry when he visits. Stallion of the Line 1. I think the Whitebeard crew will first leave and lick their wounds and grieve for the loss of everyone. I personally do not know where Ace or Marco would rank when it comes to power of the Yonko. They are definitely someone that could fight any of the Vice-Captains but I do not think they have the strength and or endurance to fight any of the captains. I want the rest of the crew to throw in their lot with Raffy but I do not want it to be over a DenDen Mushi; if they are going to join him, I want it to be in person and over drinks. 2. If you want Shiki to take over the Whitebeard crew then a way to do so would be to retrieve Whitebeard’s body and weapon to give the crew the ability to give him a proper burial/send off; but at the same time, I would just want him to do so because he strikes me as an interesting and honourable character. Depending on what his plans where I could see him trying to restart them but I think he is smart enough to know that the Marine’s would not let him do his own thing; so, I would be interested in seeing him helping Raffy as another crew under his banner or joining underneath Marco/Ace. 3. I could see Judge reaching out to Straw Hat crew considering their meteoric rise to power and how they have upended so much of the establish power structure in just a few months. But for all that the Straw Hats are individually strong they do not have the powerbase of support that Big Mom does. Moreover, if it is anyone but Reiju the family would immodestly be dismissed by Sanji and due to that the rest of the crew and if his plan is to still conqueror North Blue I just can’t see Raffy being a part of it.

Braeden1002

1a. New love interest for Anakin... is Asajj off the table? I feel like they had a nice bantering/rivalry in Clone Wars show. 1b. Not all of Sidiot's moves need to be shown. At this point, he's becoming reactionary in the same way he and the Veil have made the Jedi reactionary. But Harry has basically pulled a table flip and is thinning the Veil's influence over the Jedi. So maybe show just his major moves going forward. 2a. Whitebeard's crew should stay Whitebeard's crew under the joint leadership of Ace and Marco. Marco and Ace should probably secure their positions and recover from their losses, but both agree to an Alliance with Raffy. 2b. I feel in this circumstance, Shiri is honorable enough to recover Whitebeard's body, weapon and enable the escape of WB crew. Then go his own way, with a change of priority. What that change is, I'll leave up to you. 2c. Reiju is the only Vinsmoke worth a damn. Maybe she could make contact alone and without permission or knowledge from Judge. First to see how Sanji has progressed, and later to help him become stronger and for a chance at freedom for herself. 3. Unfortunately not caught up on this story to comment. Nor am I as knowledgeable on Tolkien's works to give an accurate or meaningful opinion. Live the story nonetheless so please continue the excellent writing. RIP James Earl Jones.

Razgriz0x

Do you mind telling me what your two choices are? I'm really curious. The only other one that occurred to me was a Jedi from the comics who sacrificed herself to destroy a Separatist base while Anakin and Obi-Wan led the attack outside. Anakin was pretty torn up about it, but I can't remember or find her name.

Stars90

Hmm... still not very close in age... she is older than most padawans after being passed over, but she isn't 18, she's more like 15 or so. Little too young. I am amused so far though at how my own two choices have been overlooked entirely... LOL.

vimesenthusiast

I want to show his campaign against the Corsair fleet, and his rise in the ranks of Gondor under the Steward. No daily life here. Maybe some campaigns in Angmar with the Rangers, as he earns their trust.

vimesenthusiast

... you okay, bro?

Aragorn93

For magic of the force I feel that leaving out palpatine pov’s for now would be the best choice. We’re all aware that he’s there, in the shadows, so letting him fade from consciousness of the story until something big would introduce more uncertainty. We all know he’s a master manipulator so not being privy to how he reacts to everything would leave us to wonder. But that’s just me.

Daniel Emil Waldstrøm Henriksen

I think you’ve been doing a fine job and you’ve set up several nasty surprises for palpy. The ripple effect in the future if Harry and Lillie’s presence should turn into a tsunami which is what I feel your building up to and if so it’s going great

Justin Gremminger

I disagree with you here he seems like the hidden dagger in the dark that’s still unknown. The reason the good guys get away with what little they do is because of magic which he has no reference for. Remember when palpy turn the republic against the gdl then there are going to be truly staggering levels of power aimed at a much smaller coalition of forces. You might be thinking to narrow instead if galactically. Personally I see no way for the gdl to run in the end everyone flees into the ruusan sector which fay cuts off from palpy permanently.

Justin Gremminger

Personally I feel you should go with the later interpretation for the blue wizards. They they held back the tastings from going into the west until they “fell to darkness” which I believe means they died. As for thorin shoring him at war and how much the weekend time has changed him would be great to see as erebor even has a part to play during the war if the one ring. As to Aragorn I think you should hold off for a bit until his a decent it older his 40’s or so and have him show his abilities while Harry and tauriel are hunting evils in the fallen lands if angmar or maybe pursuing an evil that Aragorn and the rangers help them fight? But showing his wandering in Gondor could be interesting. I’d avoid just showing his daily life though maybe if you have important future plot points you want to set up? Such as the fact he knew the native language of Rohan or knows about the Corsair fleet and what evil they posed during the war of the ring

Justin Gremminger

Oh yeah! Then as mentioned above, Bariss is only a year younger and her healing could balance him. Plus, if we looj at canon, she has some experience with temptation. Heh.

MultiverseCosms

huh thought jade was allot older owel guess that aint happening

frank schellingerhout

I mean that sounds more like Palpatine tbh He probably owns the layers below the jedi temple in coruscant to blow up the foundation if he needs to He's literally the inheritor of a thousand years of spite planning he better have a bag of get out of jail free cards kicking around

Mitchell Wright

For Magic of the Force, would you be open to a Padawan close to Knighthood? I feel like Anakin could have an interesting dynamic with Scout. I feel like his being attracted to someone who is a Jedi with very little power could give him a new perspective on how important power is

Stars90

Wow, that's surprising as a few chapters back people were complaining about him being able to roll with the punches too well and always have secret resources, LOL.

vimesenthusiast

In regards to magic of the force, I feel like Sidious is not being calculating enough. It feels like the heroes are always one step ahead, and Sidious feels consistently on the backfoot for a master manipulator. I know that realistically he has no way to figure most of this stuff out, but as a big bad he doesn't feel like enough of a threat. Just my thoughts, IDK

Mitchell Wright

Regarding Fate Touched. I actually believe both interpretations were part of their histories. They succeeded in turning many of the Easternings tribes away from Sauron, but eventually either they turned to darkness to maintain their influence or they turned to darkness because of power's corrupting influence. Either way the cults would have survived Sauron and could have been a major part in the scrapped sequel based around Aragorn's son. As ASOIAF fan I'm used to POV shifts every few chapter, so I'm down to see some of Thorin's and young Aragorn's adventures.

StrevHd

seen. Replied to the email. Will get to the chapter tomorrow morning.

vimesenthusiast

Mara Jade has yet to be born, which I hope you knew LOL. If I was going to time jump anyone, Darth Talon would be my choice because... MMMMM....

vimesenthusiast

Magic of the Force: 2: I really like his POVs when doing little but significant political moves and manipulations. Maybe expand on that with the POV of some of his unwitting pawns doing stuff that look harmless at first but that are actually part of a greater move. Stallion of the Line: 1: a) I don't think neither Ace nor Marco would go for the position of Yonko, not right now and now without an epic, harsh training montage. b) I don't see them tossing their lot at Raffy's side not right now so immediately after Whitebeard's death, tho' I can easily see a tentative alliance for Newgate's territories' sake. Marco, when not enraged enough to drag the whole fleet into a grudge war, is pragmatic enough to know he doesn't have the power to defend their islands from Endless Mommy Complex and Tantrum Drunk Dragon. Plus, I can't see Raffy going for a "Vow to me, if you want my protection" move. 2: Shiki is a schemer and always will be one, if he stay with the Whitebeard pirates I can see him seducing a lot of the peripheral members and crews to his side, and maybe some of the most aggressive and mercurial core members like canon!Squard. But I can't see any of that until they're safe and far far away from that battleground, first to survive and second 'cause I can see him mourning Newgate in his own tsundere way.

Reiter

Stallion Check your email? If you don't find anything send me a message. 1) I don't think joining Ruffy right away is something the the whole Whitebeard crew would go for. But circumstances can make them, especially as this idea could have several supporters from the star. Still them being allies is a sure thing and it may end up with the fleet swearing their allegiance. There is a lot of options. If they want to continue protecting Whitebeard's territories in his legacy they may need additional help depending on who is going to go for them. 2) Shiki is now even more weakened after the war and I can see him actually staying with the Whitebeard pirates (for reason obvious and less so). Given his power and help I can even see him taking over as one of the commanders. Especially as we lost some of them in the war. This would also give him a possibility to actually try to take over a Yonko crew once he recovers if he feels up for it. That could actually be one of the event that could speed up or at least influence the first point, bout the remaining Whitebeard crew joining Luffy. Also depending on how much of Luffy involvement is going to be known publicly and if he truly can be a Yonko without even arriving in a new world (or at least have strong enough reputation).

Tomon

Stallion: 1. I think having the Whitebeard Pirates try to maintain their postuon as a Yonko crew is the way to go. Not just because I agree that the older commanders wouldn't throw in with Raffy as a subordinate group, but because that's what they did in Canon for a *reason*. They wanted to preserve Newgate's territory and what he stood for; I can't see them (initially) trying to honor him in any other way and it fit with their character motivations as a crew. It'd be like each of the Straw Hats abandoning their individual dreams just because Luffy died--doesn't make sense given who they are. This is a group that dedicated not just their lives but DEFINED THEMSELVES according to Whitebeard's dream. Plus, I think it can be a good source of drama down the road. Either because (a) you have splinter factions that wind up wanting to honor Whitebeard in different ways when they realize they cannot hold his territory or (b) Ace (as the new captain) having to fight Luffy--brother vs brother--in the New World as enemies of circumstance or even as genuine rivals for the One Piece. 2. Shiki can go any which way and be good. He's got a complex enough character that he could even do all of the things you mentioned and it feel realistic. I actually like the though of him being a deuteragonist or at least a figure who's not clearly a genuine antagonist despite doing things that are vexing to either the WB crew or the Straw Hats. I say go with your gut on that one. 3. I don't think Germa 66 contacting the Straw Hats makes sense. There are too many factors in why they joined Big Mom that the Straw Hats couldn't offer. It wasn't just protection or an alliance of convenience. Big Mom's Devil Fruit and the Heritage Project were mutually beneficial to each other. I think there was a throw away line about how "they could not have perfected the enhanced cloning process without her powers"? Anyway, Germa wouldn't let themselves be subservient to a group they think hasn't proven themselves, even if just the appearance of it the way they went with Big Mom where they were trying to play her. I also don't see Raffy legitimately considering any proposal they make if/when Sanji tells him of his sordid past with Germa? Like...end result would still be embittered and a reason to fight if/when Germa crossed paths with the SH crew, but that's just ADDITIONAL motivation not something unique plot-wise. Those are my takes, at least.

Matthew Williams

Magic: 1. I couldn't recall if there were any female jedi knights that were Anakin's age, so I googled it. According to Google which should be taken with a grain of salt, obviously, he became a knight before any of his peers. That makes sense to me. Apparently, in the legends timeline, Barriss was only a year younger than Anakin, so maybe she would be an option if she advances close to the same time. Honestly, she's really the only significant female jedi that I know of who could be close in age. Another option is Ventress. I can't remember if she has been mentioned yet in the story. I'm not sure at what point she fell to the dark side in canon. 2. I'm kind of ambivalent on the Sidious POV. It can be important to the story, bit sometimes when I'm reading it, I just want to get back to the POVs I care about more. Stallion: 1. I don't think the commanders would want to be a subservient crew to Luffy, but I also don't think that an alliance of equals is out of the question. At least to start. I'm not sure if Marco or Ace would want the position. There shouldn't be a war with Blackbeard, but they still have territories to protect from Kaido and Big Mom. 2. I don't really have an opinion here because I don't know much about Shiki. 3. I don't believe Judge would try to marry Reiju into the straw hats or try to ally with them in any way. I could, however, see him doing what he did in canon and attempting to marry Sanji into Big Mom's crew. I don't believe that plan would get very far, but he might try it. Fate: 1. I like the second option better, but either way that's still more than I knew about the Blue wizards. 2. I wouldn't mind seeing more of Thorin's POV. As for the war without Harry and Tauriel, sure, why not? It doesn't make too much difference to me. 3. Same here. I'm happy whichever direction you go with this.

Aragorn93

Magic 1. Personally I would like to see someone who helps to balance this Anakin, maybe someone who is more of a healer or esoteric force user. Unfortunatlely can't think of someone that matches that who is of an age with Anakin at this time. 2.Maybe just a small inner monologue type where he summarises some of the minor moves he's made behind the scenes every so often could work? Stallion 1. After taking some time to mourn etc. I could certainly see Ace and maybe Marco joining up (if for no other reason than to keep an eye on Ace as a nod to Whitebeards wishes), I think it would take a lot longer for the other commanders to see Raffy as someone who could replace Whitebeard to them. 2. I don't know enough on his character to tell which way he would jump here, I could see him retrieving Whitebeards weapon and body, though it could either be as a sign of his respect or maybe as a bit of a ploy to ingratiate himself with the WB crew and have them follow him easier. 3.Unsure for this one sorry. Fate 1. Don't know how convoluted it might be but perhaps a slight mix of both? They created the cults as a way to control the Easterlings and break the influence of Sauron while limiting what dark magic was actually spread but over time things got out of hand (either through Saurons machinations or the Blue Wizards themselves) and they and any followers they managed to turn away from Sauron were eventually hunted down. 2. Definitely want to see more of Thorin and how the Dwarves fight, especially if they are using some of Harry and Thorins ideas from their talks. 3. Perhaps some small snippets could work that help show his progress as a leader without having to go into too much detail?

Komari is dating Quinlan Vos right now, they're pretty serious. You might be thinking of Horse for the Force Komari.

I feel that Mara Jade is waaay too young, isn't she two years younger than Luke? I think ol' Skeevy Sheev would try a honey trap with Ventress instead.

Magic of the Force: Obviously, Yaddle. Joking aside, Komari Vosa would be good. She Fell, so she would understand Anakin and could also support him. As for Fate, I never liked the Blue Wizards failing. I like them keeping the Easterlings back.

Well, this is the first of these I've been a patron for, so let's see... Magic: 1. My first thought would be Barriss Offee (she is a year younger than him in Legends), but she would still be a Padawan for the first two-ish years of the war. Second thought was a joke, but what if Anakin and Ventress started flirting? 2. We do need to see Sidious every so often, but I would recommend we see him more in his calls with Dominus and Ventress than him raging in his room. Stallion 1. I feel that the Whitebeards would put the leadership to a vote, with everybody voting for either Ace or Marco (they'd vote for each other) with Marco eventually winning (Whitey is very vocal about Ace rushing off alone). 2. Shiki would totally throw problems into the argument of who takes over, but I can't see Ace going along with Shiki's plan (in the movie) of using bio-warfare to wipe out all of East Blue. 3. Sanji is certainly going to see a massive bounty increase (much like Raffy and Zoro) for breaking out of Impel Down. That's going to draw Germa's attention. If you aren't planning on doing a 2 year time skip, that throws off the entire New World. Can they capture him this time round? If they're reaching out to the Straw Hats directly, who are they trying to marry him off to? Big Mom's brood? Kaido's 'Son'? Some New World nobility? I think it'd be the most interesting if they were reaching out to see if Raffy or Zoro would wed Reiju. Fate 1. I feel that the second interpretation is more accurate, and that they've either been killed or are being hunted to the point of uselessness at present. 2. Honestly, yes. Seeing Thorin and the other members of the Company (and Gimli) fighting in the Iron Hills and beyond would be awesome. Perhaps we start seeing them adopting the shield wall/pike tactics Harry told them about before Rivendell? That is essentially perfect for tunnel fighting, as the true weakness of the Romans was getting outflanked. Hard to attack from all sides in a tunnel. 3. Aragorn needs some character development as he grows up, and some Ranger action would be cool, but not very often. We have multiple decades worth of time before the events of the Fellowship, more than enough time to squeeze in a bit of character growth and leadership. Keep up the great work Vimes! These three stories are my absolute favorites right now, I'm very glad your Muse is focused on them!

Just a quick thought on Middle Earth 1: those two explanations aren't incompatible. They could have happened in order. And/or dark magic != ally of Sauron/Melkor. I favor the later option _if_ you have an interest in exploring other things dark magic can be/do.

In regards to Stallion, I think Shiki has enough leverage to get Whitebeard's crew to cooperate with him yet he is also honorable enough to finish his deal. He also has enough strength and prestige to act as their defender while they rebuild from their losses. Regarding Whitebeard's body and weapon, I think now is the perfect time for it; Garp is keeping Sengoku busy, Shiki won't get any other chance. Although, I can see Marco retrieving the body no problem as he is still relatively fresh and quite fast in flight. I do not agree that anyone will join Luffy, however, it ally with him? Absolutely. Same with Shiki, his story in the movie was utter dog shit, especially as Oda confirmed that Shiki is powerful enough to beat the entire Straw Hat crew if the movie was canon.
